Chronicler is an awesome tool for people who want to build a wiki-style archive locally (offline, no cookies, no AI art) and these past weeks (months?) there's been a "find a mascot" contest. I'm not delusional enough to think my little guy will win, especially since this drawing is hurried and technically isn't even finished - but the deadline is tonight and it's a quarter to 2 AM, so here's my entry :o)

I ended 2024 in a weird place, depressed because Work Shenanigans™, hoping for things to get better. Which... they did, kinda? And then I got an earthquake of a health scare in the middle of the year, and I've been dealing with that since. I'm doing nowhere as badly as I could, honestly, but treatment's been messing with my eyes a lot and the world has been more or less blurry non-stop since October-ish. Hence the few posts in late 2025. Fingers crossed it gets better, I miss being able to draw :(
2024 was the 10th of these retrospective things for me :o) And now 2025 marks the very first time it has featured only one fandom. Hell yeah, Vox Machina 💖

Wow, 2024 was a year. The past four months in particular were, uh. A Lot (because Things at work). I'm hoping against hope the next few ones will be better. I didn't draw a lot; most months I only published the one drawing. It's interesting, because it's been a long time since the ratio "computer art/traditional art" was so much in favour of good old paper and markers! I did write a lot this year, and since now I have to decide when I art whether to draw or write, in the end my art 2024 isn't too shabby, I guess. We'll see next year!

Well, 2023 was... busy, mostly. I started a new job in late 2022 and it's taking a looot of my time, which sucks because I've had a looot of ideas for art and fic and not nearly enough time to do them all justice! As you can see by the monthly samples, fandomly speaking my life (and brain and heart) was just taken over by one fandom (especially one ship, and especially one character), which... actually I won't apologise for! Vox Machina and Critical Role gave me so many emotions and fuel for creating stuff (and even playing TTRPG for the first time in my life!!), it's been great. Here's to another year of being unabashedly ridiculous 💜

I’ve been pondering for a couple of seasons what a Miyagi-Fang (for lack of a better name) might look like... This is what I finally came up with. What do you think? I tried to make it simple and legible (logos should look at least a bit streamlined), with the crane in more or less the same posture as on the ancient Miyagi-Do scroll. (Did not put fangs on the eagle though. Sorry, Johnny :P But I think that, if we do come to see something like this in canon, the eagle will be staying. Consider that a bet on the future!)
(EDIT: oh shit, I didn’t mean to post it yet - just keep it in my drafts to check it out later on another screen, see if the lines and the colours make sense. Ah well. It’s out now, isn’t it?)
So yeah, another, more steamlined version of a possible Miyagi-Fang logo (name pending). An eagle, a bonsai, and a crane, all purple, natch ^^
(please don’t repost elsewhere or slap it on Etsy mugs! It doesn’t look super pro (think I might need to rework the bonsai a bit anyway) but I’ve worked a long time on it and I like to be credited for things like that. Or, y’know, at least asked.)
