Kind of an off-the-wall AU idea, but I want fic where Remus spends time spying on the Dursleys when Harry is little and is immediately appalled by his treatment and plots to get him out of there, but knows he can’t get Harry out himself. So he goes to his parents for help, and Lyall has enough high-ranking friends at the Ministry (for some reason??) that he’s able to pull some strings and gets custody of Harry granted to him and Hope. Of course, he then immediately turns Harry over to his honorary godfather and lets Remus raise him, but no one needs to know that.
