Miserable Monday's: 76ers' 16 Game Losing Streak

Tonight the Philadelphia 76ers' travel to New York to take on the Knicks, and try to end their historically bad losing streak at 16 games, having already gone without a win in the month of February.  The last time the 76ers' had a losing streak of this magnitude was in 1972-1973 season, where the Sixer’s lost twenty straight games in route to their worst season in franchise history at 9-73.  Although the 2013-2014 season has already produced 15 wins, the Sixer’s are allowing a putrid 110.9 points per game allowed, 10 more points allowed per game then tonight’s opponent, the Knicks, who also have a far from stellar defensive front.  The Sixer's allowed triple figure scoring totals in 15 of their 16 loses during this streak.

The worst losing streak in NBA history is held by the 2010-2011 Cleveland Cavaliers, the first year separated from Lebron James, losing 26 consecutive games, and 36 of 37.
