Act 1 - Scene 2

Charpie had woken up early due to all of the excitement of the new day. The fletchlings were singing, the pidgeys were awake, and all she could think about was the journey ahead of them. She slinked away from the bed and moved toward the desk. She quickly made a profile page of Pixon. Once she was happy with it, she smiled and got into new clothes her mother bought her before she left.

The girl heard a mewling coming from behind her as she opened the door. Charpie looked back at the couch to see Pixon following her. "Okay, you can come with me" she whispered to him. She closed the door behind the fennec fox and made her way to the lobby.

The duo had a pleasant breakfast and made their way around the town before making their way back into their hotel. They entered the room where Dan and MishL were just getting up.

"Are you guys ready yet?" Charpie asked, Pixon making a whining sound to make the young adult's point.

"Almost, I'll be out soon" MishL replied while she slipped on her shoes.

"I'm ready to go" Dan said as he patted his Froakie's head.

Charpie looked at the two other humans. "Did you guys name your pokémon?" With her hand on the handle of the door, the trainer twisted the knob

and opened the door allowing her companions to leave.

Dan stepped through the door first. "My Froakie's named Jade...you know after the girl from Jackie Chan?" Both females laughed. By how energetic the Froakie was the night before, they could tell that was a good name for her.

"Chespin's new name is Stamitz" MishL explained while she walked through the door. Charpie was the last to walk through. She looked back into the room. This was the first step in the rest of their time in Kalos.

It had been two days since they left the hotel room. The trainers' parties were bigger, they were stronger, and they made it to the next

city to train. The town was called Santalune City. The reason the three young adults were spending so much time at the city was because there

was a gym.

"We should train another day, guys. There's no way I want to lose." Charpie said with her arms crossed. They had only been there two days.

What did it matter if they stayed a third day than battled on the fourth?

MishL's feet shifted. "We have been training for so long. Our pokmon will be strong enough, besides it's the first gym. How hard could it be?" the slighty younger female tried to reason with Charpie.

"I agree with MishL. Tomorrow I'm going to take on the gym leader, and if you aren't there we'll leave without you." Charpie stared at her boyfriend as he said that. She knew he was bluffing, but they would make her battle the gym leader anyways. The female sighed.

"Fine, we'll go defeat the gym tomorrow, but we have to make the most of today as well." With those words from Charpie in all of their minds they set out to train.

That night Charpie had dreams about her pokémon being slaughtered. Pixon, Nymph, Tiny, Darwin, and Lydia were all consumed by fleas. Charpie could only hope that this wouldn't really be her pokémon's fate.
