The very first recorded track by GM. The song that started it all, The Cheese Song. Without this song being so great GM probably Wouldn't've continued producing music. Its impossible to understand what produced this song, however its importance cannot be undertstated.

BAND BIO- Genetic Misprints

BONUS SHIT #1

Genre: Comedy/ Improv

Members: Rob- Voice of an angel and mind of a demon

Darren- Strings of fury and harmonic vocals

Biography:

Xmas 2009. Two long-time friends were united with a keyboard and a microphone. They recorded the cheese song and the rest is history. The Genetic Misprints were born.

The initial recording phase (between Viva la Cheese and Pickled Egg) was mainly full of experiments and skits using the keyboard and audio/ voice effects. Without recording the Cheese Song we doubt that they would’ve continued with the project. Rob of the band provides all of the album artwork, titles and artwork ideas are provided by Darren.

As time went on and they recorded more and more their sound developed, and changed to be using an acoustic guitar- which although it is debuted on Value Pack EP, was fully implemented on The Mauve Album. The spark which ignited the project fully, they had been struggling with ideas and recording, but something was now different. From Marmalederhosen, XV, Now in 3d! The acoustic sound flourished. They would constantly hark back to their roots, dropping in skits and short random sections into their albums. From amazing structured tracks like ‘Bargain Bucket’ and ‘Mr. Mac’ and skits, they developed the full on improv tracks. ‘Hydrophobic satan…’ Was a completely improvised track, proving that they truly are musical comedy geniuses.

After a short break there was the cast part trilogy which reignited the fun of recording. Throughout many changes in location, life events and jobs- they have maintained a high recording output. They recorded the 2011 duo after a six month break, then God Hates Penguins and Hair to the Throne in 2012. At that point despite loving the project so much it was getting more and more difficult to record, with working around jobs, finding time and space. Throughout this break, as always, they constantly jotted down and brainstormed ideas, ready for the inevitable comeback.

2014. The misprints have returned. After 2 years of thinking and planning they finally managed to orchestrate a weekend to record. With the plan of recording as much as possible- of their pages of lists. What does the future hold for GM? They’ve got new material to share, want to greatly increase their promotional material and can’t wait to share it all with you! .
