Neverwinter Nights - PC - 2002
Artemis Entreri. Artemis Entreri! The name resonated deeply within the soul of the assassin. His given name, that long ago moniker that had seemingly been lost to the ages, as the person who had once been Artemis Entreri had likewise been lost to the ages. - Neverwinter
this scene has been haunting me for a year, one of the most profound moments of the series to me
Got inspired to sketch my chaotic evil drow Sinaeryne - College of Whispers bard and Lolth-sworn assassin

About Sarel and Mirna
(my BG3 twin-tavs)
Although Sarel's name is always spoken first, the real leader of the duo is Mirna, the more pragmatic and collected sister, who is older by "the best fifteen minutes of her life," as she likes to joke.
The twins were born in Neverwinter to the tiefling warlock Hades and a human paladin named Sephi. Sephi once served the god of justice, Tyr, but became an oathbreaker for Hades's sake. Hades himself was an aristocrat, owning a vast mansion and lands, so the sisters enjoyed a comfortable childhood.
From an early age, Mirna developed sensitivity to magic, inherited from her father. Her innate gift for sorcery manifested itself almost immediately. Sarel, however, chose the path of a bard, preferring joy, dance, and song to attempts to harness her magical talent, which was, by the way, much weaker than her sister's.
One day, when the girls were still very young, Mirna, playing hide-and-seek with her sister, snuck into their father's study, which was usually locked, and hid in a closet that turned out to be a portal to the Shadowfell. For Mirna, those few minutes stretched into a terrifying eternity, until Hades, alarmed by one of his daughters being missing, found her and pulled her back. From then on, Mirna developed a sensitivity to dark magic, and the path of Shadow Magic became her destiny and a kind of cure for the fear she had endured.
This change was not lost on Sarel. Noticing her sister's sudden emotional withdrawal, she decided to support her new reserved nature with her characteristic directness: "If Mirna wants to be more serious, then I will take her seriousness seriously!"
From that day on, Sarel and Mirna began to seem like polar opposites in appearance and character, but inside they continued to live in harmony, perfectly complementing each other.
Holy shit, it's alive
You turn away from Tumblr for a few weeks to obsess over tomato plants and beetroot germination, and when you come back you find the garden isn't the only place where things have been growing. @merrilynoblepriest wrote some awesome meta about Daeghun and parental relationships @mein-liebling has been on a NWN2 kick and shared cool stuff like a party height graphic and thoughts about Casavir's backstory
@chaoticdumbsorcerer made me all nostalgic for the opening scene
@tarbuchyloewenthal spreads the greatness of Sand into Star Wars
@ayeshasrpgs describes their Drow PC
And last but not least, @songofmadness has written three new stories, one a Bishop psychodrama, one a college AU, and one with an Abyssal chicken.
I'm sorry if I've missed anything -- if I have, then reblog and tell me about it! Floreat Neverwinter 🏵
