Today is my “me day” where I take a break from being a mom and leave John in charge.

It’s so nice. I’ve been able to do a ton of work in the office while watching Miss Fishers.

Been working on my goblin/junk book, I painted the circle bag I made, ive been organizing/working on my grim. It’s been wonderful.

John just left to get me a redbull so I’m cuddling elric. I could have gone but I didn’t feel like leaving the house.

man, Miss Fisher’s really is the perfect show

you’ve got a kick ass lady detective, quick as a whip, fights dirty, and carries her pearl-handled pistol with pride, who flirts with any man she deems worthy but doesn’t wanna tie herself to a n y o n e

her lovely and extremely talented companion who, despite being heavily Catholic, never lets her religion — or what her minister tells her — get in the way of helping Phryne do what is right

two cabbie best friends who have an astounding amount of respect and loyalty to Phryne from day one

her HELLA kick ass butler, Mr. Butler, who honestly rivals Alfred Pennyworth in his discretion and many secret talents

her adopted daughter who is brilliant and crafty just like she is

and literally the only two cops I trust on television: the sweet constable who dotes completely on the companion and always makes up for his fumbles, and the detective inspector who, despite loving Phryne for everything that she is, would never dream of asking her to give up her lifestyle for him, and respects her regardless of her “”morally ambiguous”” ways

not to mention that it includes so many topics that many shows set in the 20s wouldn’t dream of doing. it tackles LGBT people (yes!!! trans people too!!), interracial marriages, misogyny — and probably more that I can’t think of right now

it’s just. the best fuckin show. and it should be appreciated FAR more than I ever see it on any social media. if you like murder mysteries, or good tv in general, GO WATCH MISS FISHERS MURDER MYSTERIES
