10. If you could pick any 5 old contestants to come back for a special, who would they be?
oh that's interesting, I'd love to see more from Sally Phillips, Liza Tarbuck, Mike Wozniak, Mark Watson and Rhod Gilbert (bonus points if the groups are set as men vs women)
honorable mention to Joe Thomas, Judi Love, Kiell Smith Bynoe, Nish Kumar, and David Baddiel (which could totally make a second special cast akajshsj)
What is your favorite part about the Taskmaster house?
- I lovee the caravan tbh and it's always a joy when it's used in tasks! Either bc it's written in, or because a contestant just wanted to utilize it. I always find it hard to believe that it showed up in s4.
Favourite Greg painting/set theme?
- My fave painting is def the Van Gogh-inspired s4 portrait. But if we're talking overall house themes, I really love s7 and s9. I think the more thematic ones they've been doing recently are fun but .. a bit too over the top for my taste

“Angel,” Crowley said, arching a sceptical eyebrow over her sunglasses. “Do you know what a fancy dress party actually is?”
“Yes,” said Aziraphale primly, smoothing her hands down her front. “And I have decided to wear a ‘fancy dress’ to it.”
Crowley rolled her eyes. “You’re meant to dress up as a character or something, angel. Not just wear an outfit you haven’t for ages.”
“I don’t see why I can’t do both, dear.”
The demon paused for a moment at that, watching as the angel twisted to get a better look at herself in the mirror. Aziraphale fussed a little with the sleeves and waist of the dress, then deemed it suitable and turned to look at Crowley.
“Right, I should think we’re both about ready, yes?”
Crowley nodded slowly, still evaluating Aziraphale’s outfit. She’d seen her wear that exact dress before, back when it was considered usual attire, which meant it wasn’t originally intended to look like anyone in particular. But now that she was wearing it to a fancy dress party – and knew what that meant – she must have a character in mind.
“Come along then, my dear. It wouldn’t do to be late.”
There was a slight glint in Aziraphale’s eye as she smiled, and Crowley’s heart stuttered as she recognised the look. That was a thrown gauntlet, if ever there was one.
The angel wasn’t going to tell her. She’d have to figure it out for herself.

“Crowley!” Aziraphale couldn’t help but gasp as they stepped outside. “Your car!”
The Bentley, it appeared, had undergone something of a paint job. Its main body and roof was now a deep pinkish-red colour, perhaps closest to burgundy or maroon. The back windows had been painted out too, an elegant swirl stretching across the opaque glass.
“Thought she wouldn’t want to be left out,” the demon said, reaching out to pat the hood. “It’s only a costume, though, don’t worry. Wouldn’t ever actually repaint her.”
Aziraphale nodded, still a little thrown. Then she took a step back, and frowned at the scene for a second before brightening.
“Ah! The Bentley is your car!”
“Well observed, angel,” Crowley drawled, an amused expression on her face.
“No, I mean...”
Aziraphale glanced up at the demon, struggling for once to find the words to articulate her point, and saw Crowley smirking. Of course the demon knew exactly what she meant, and Aziraphale swiped half-heartedly at her in admonishment.
“I mean it’s your character’s car. You’ve dressed the Bentley up to look like your character’s car.”
“Yep!” The demon looked pleased with herself. She stroked a hand down her fur coat, then turned and dramatically swung the car door open. “Come along, darling! Places to go, people to see!”
Heat bloomed in Aziraphale’s cheeks. The endearment was part of the character, she knew that. But all the same...
She tried to ignore her racing pulse, and climbed into the car.
Thealarm blaring around them rings in Rose‘s ears. Red lights flash inthe darkness, providing a bit of light every few seconds, but it‘sway too fast for Rose to make out their surroundings. All she can dois trust the Doctor and stumble after him as he guides them throughthe corridors of this prison, her hand so tight in his that it hurts. He drags her along relentlessly, although he must know that she can’tsee a thing. But they can’t slow down. Guards are shoutingsomewhere behind them. Again and again footsteps sound through thenoise of the alarm, making Rose flinch. She’s panting for air, panic making every breath harder and harder.
Whenthe Doctor abruptly stops in front of her, she crashes into him andnearly knocks them both to the ground. But the Doctor keeps a steadyfooting and grips her shoulders.
“Overthere,” he hisses, pushing her to the side. Rose’s back hits awall. She reaches out and feels another solid surface right next toher. A niche in the wall? A little corner that might provide somecover? She isn’t sure. The lights of the alarms are far away now, leaving her in complete darkness. Usually she’s good in situationslike this, she’s sure of it. But this time, this completehelplessness is overpowering. Her legs are shaking. She’s gaspingfor air, panic clouding every coherent thought, but she can’t slowdown her breathing. The Doctor isn’t touching her anymore.
“Doctor,”she cries out without thinking.
“Shh!”A second later he’s back at her side, pressing her against the wallas if to shield her from view. “Rose, calm down. Please, I need youto be quiet.” His voice is urgent, nearly desperate, and it onlymakes her heart beat faster. The guards are going to find them.
TheDoctor lets out a muffled curse, his body tensing against hers.“Rose,” he tries again. His voice is powerless against theanxiety coursing through her veins. Another time footsteps approach, quick and heavy on the concrete floor. Rose’s breath hitches. Shetries to hold her breath, anything to stay silent, but it’s no use.
Untilsuddenly, the Doctor’s lips press down to hers, swallowing everysound. And just like that, the panic drains out of her. She relaxesagainst him, blending out the noise and the darkness, and insteadfocuses on the sensation of being in his arms. Focuses on the way hislips move over hers, the way he grips her hips, the way he presseshis whole body against hers. It’s the perfect distraction.Footsteps come and pass, but she barely notices it. When the Doctoreventually pulls back she has calmed down and only a content sighleaves her lips. She can feel the Doctor grinning against her cheek.
“Allright?” he whispers and she nods. She takes a deep breath beforeshe dares to speak.
“Yeah,”she manages to get out, her voice shaking just a little. The Doctorpresses another kiss on her lips before he reaches for her hand.
“Let’sget out of here,” he whispers and pulls her back into the corridor. He gives her hand a squeeze. And this time, that is all thereassurance she needs.
Ten x rose prompt because your writing rocks!!: You come to the restaurant that I work at and choose me as your waiter/waitress every time just to annoy me and I can't do anything in retribution or I'll get fired (basically restaurant au enemies to lovers!!)
“Hello, my name is John and I’ll be helping you out today.” John sighed, “Hello, Rose.”
She winked. “Hi, John.”
“You know each other?” the man across from her asked.
“She works in the bar across the street,” John answered. Rose smiled sweetly, while John tried not to roll his eyes. They had been going back and forth at this for a while, pestering each other at their jobs until… well, he didn’t know what this was.
He knew that his arrogance irked her, and she acted like everything was a game. Throughout her date, Rose joked with him and it set him on edge.
He took a little pride in being the only person to make her smile on the date. Just a little. Adam seemed like a know-it-all. Not that it mattered to him. Definitely not.
He brought this onto himself, really. After making a comment about his much better service and hospitality, the challenge had only just begun. Bringing her friends and some poor sods who wouldn’t stop bothering her for a date was an extra bit of fun for her, he guessed.
“She’s leaving,” Jack said from behind him. Rose and Adam were standing up from their table.
John shrugged. They’ve already paid and he could finally steer clear from Rose and her smile.
Jack gave him a look, but moved on to his customers eventually.
Adam bumped into him on his way out, murmuring a halfhearted apology before bursting out of the restaurant like his pants were on fire. Rose followed pleasantly behind, looking like a cat that caught the canary when their eyes met.
“See you next time, John,” she sang. She threw him a tongue-touched smile before walking out the door, and he chuckled as he watched her leave.
Rose wondered briefly if she made a mistake in calling him, as she knocked on the door to the Doctor’s flat. She didn’t know anything about him other than he traveled a bunch and had a strange affinity for bananas and jam. She clutched her mobile a little tighter in her hand as she heard the lock click open on the door.
“Hello, I’m the Doctor! You must be Rose.”
A tall, gangly man stood before her in the doorway. She gave him a once over. She noticed his hair right away; exactly like the picture, but more impressive in person. Beaten up converse were haphazardly on his feet like he could walk out of them at any moment. They contrasted heavily against the weird brown pinstripe suit he was wearing. Only the top button and third button were buttoned, leaving the one in between gaping. He was the sort of man who looked like he owned a bookstore, or a library, but overdressed, so maybe a history professor or english teacher. He definitely has a ton of books.
Rose realized she was staring longer than comfortable and looked at his face to see if he noticed. He had. He was looking at her with sort of a bemused expression, eyebrows raised. She blushed lightly and sucked her cheeks in, pouting slightly in an attempt to hide her embarrassment. She wasn’t about to ruin her chances with this guy…..’s apartment because she was accidentally checking him out.
“Would you like to see the place?” the Doctor gestures to the room behind him.
hehehehe here is your DAILY DOSE OF FEELINGS [from all the love]
She’s back.
54. Favourite first line/opening you’ve written
i have a soft spot in my heart for
Erin Gilbert had a problem. A big problem. A massive problem.
A problem that was currently squirrelled away up on the second floor of the Ghostbusters headquarters, making “revolutionary changes” to the team’s proton packs.
