Does anyone have a saved version/copy of the completed (or at least, mostly completed) fic How We Operate?
I’ve been catching up with the rewritten version on @missbamf ‘s Wordpress, however it’s been 4 years since it was last updated and it’s only at 22 chapters. I know there were at least 40 in the original version.
If anyone could help me, I’d be eternally grateful.
HWO news
Hi everyone. OMG I’m so sorry my responses are so few and far between these days...
I did want to give everyone updates on how the writing is going, and possibly ask for some feedback. I’m still re-reading HWO, but again, it’s been a great process so far, and really kept my inspiration up. I’m itching to write, and just waiting to be caught up with where I left off to continue. Now, this is where I’m looking for some feedback...
It’s been over a year now since my Ao3 acct was taken down, and I’m honestly pondering an attempt at reposting the story on there (though I’d split it up into the arcs this time instead of posting one big monster of a story) and I would probably call it HWO Part One instead of How We Operate, so as not to attract as much attention. This is... a risk I understand, but re reading this story has been kind of depressing as much as it has been inspirational in that I remember the community that How We Operate had on ao3, and the way ya’ll readers would interact with each other in the comment board. I met some of my best friends (to this day) on that board, and really learned a lot about people just through reading their own personal stories they shared with me. Basically, you amazing people made me stronger, and I know more of you are out there and dammit, I want to meet you. This is why I pondered reposting (or at least trying) the story there. Given the time that’s passed, maybe it would go unnoticed, though I guess there’s a 50/50 chance. I already have another acct. Have had it for awhile, just haven’t used it (haven’t even picked a damn name for it yet, lol)
I know KSarchive is the other site I’ve put it on, and while I know that’s also a a site that has a large spirk audience, I just feel ao3 is better for it, and my experiences with ksarchive, still, to this day, leave a bad taste in my mouth, even more so than ao3 does.
Anyway... I hope this life update finds you well. Again, I’m sorry that there hasn’t been any writing from me in over a year. Know that I’m pumped to write more, and WILL write more. I told you all back in 2014 when I started this story that I would finish it-- that the character’s journeys it are ever so important to me because I too strive to find strength and healing along the way like the characters I write about. Please know I appreciate every single one of you still invested in me or this story. I know I have a funny way of showing that appreciation, what with such long responses, but please know that it exists.
Also, I want to give a shout out to @ankurdang93 who’s become a cherished friend of mine, and also a fellow writer. Also, to @quietoceanlove and @vulcankisseshuman for being such patient amazing friends and sisters to me

Life and Fic updates
So OSHA is here today at work, unannounced inspection (fingers crossed) I'll let y'all know what happens. I know one thing that's already happened, and that's that the OSHA sign that our company took down is definitely back up. No surprise there. Our main office manager looks nervous as fuck leading these inspectors around its hilarious Now, for hwo news.. I'm done re reading arc 1 and have started arc 2. I've written a shit load of notes and I'm seriously very excited to pick up where I left off on the rewrite. Re reading has been very inspirational, even if I'm not the fastest reader. So, I won't give actual turn around times in the next update for hwo, but I WILL confirm that I'm definitely going to be updating once re reading is finished. I'm itching to do so.

I’ve been trying to figure things out, but decided that maybe a good way to start putting myself back into the fandom fully and whole heartedly is to go ahead and link the entire copy of the perdition series part one: closing walls and ticking clocks for those who’d like to read it. It’s now on my word press.

Hi there!!! Sorry for the delayed response! My ONE internet goal this weekend is to respond to every single ask/message/comment on this, email and wordpress. lol. I’m racking my brain on why that stupid link isn’t working for some, so I’m going to link the story here, it will be the Google Docs link, so PLEASE let me know if this doesn’t work. I’m very touched by everyone’s interest in the Perdition series, actually, and I’m planning on rewriting this one soon. I’m hoping to maybe even try to release rewritten chapters of this one at about the same time as HWO, which I’m about half way through re-reading, so it shouldn’t be too long until I can get back to that story too.
