"No, thanks, I don't want an upgrade." After wandering into an area well respected for their technological advances, Kouichi had been approached about his old, used phone up to more than a few times. The trouble was that the Kimura twin was much too reluctant to give up the device that his own brother had gave to him. Even if Kouichi didn't use it much anymore, he still held out hope that he could use it some more out of sentiment.
That, and he really didn't have the money for any unnecessary luxuries. It was rather dangerous to be wandering around all the high-end shops when every other person on the corner was trying to sell him something. Luckily he had his excuses, and had power enough to blend into the background.
It wasn't until he moved into a more cheap part of town that Kouichi finally found himself a little more comfortable to start really looking around. Not that he was planning on buying anything, but the area was interesting and unfamiliar enough to warrant a curious search.
That's when he thought he saw someone he might have known --
"Ken!" Kouichi put his hand on a blue-haired boy's shoulder, almost a head taller than him but still familiar. "Ken, it's been too long," he meant to turn the stranger around to face them, so sure in his conviction. "There's so much I've been meaning to talk to you about --"
