Kingdom Hearts Missing Link has been cancelled and I have sooo many thoughts. First and foremost, I unfortunately started to expect this after so many months of not receiving any news, but I'm still disappointed they decided to cancel the entire game. I can only hope they decide to port the game to console instead so it's not entirely lost, removing the GPS and "Go" gameplay and creating actual worlds to explore instead.

At the very least, give us the story and lore. We were supposed to be introduced to the characters' bloodlines and also have content that tied into KH4, which now I can only theorize was Riku being a descendant of Ephemer and thus is the true Crown Prince and that's why he's a mirror to "Yozora" (at least the owner of the body Yozora's occupying, not Yozora himself. "His heart replaced by another's").

Maybe they'll create a Missing Link movie out of the cutscenes similarly to the KHUX movie and drop it before KH4 releases. I just hope they don't throw all of that lore away.

Since we ain’t getting adult Ephemer any time soon he is gonna stay a teenager in my brain & cause I am bad at imagining grown up versions for characters I can’t see him having a wife/partner and a family like😭???

In my heart he just adopted kids who somehow survived the destruction

And IDK he could do the Xehanort thing and put small pieces of his heart in these kids to make them related to him in a way

(So later on when Xehanort will do that its will be just a family thing but Xehanort kinda messed up and wasn’t doing that in a cool way)

And they will get their hair to change to the ephemer hair color

And they will be the one later on to have families and kids

Cause Xehanort didn’t get any of Ephmer’s genes and we have lots of other characters with white/silver/whatever hair

So it would fit that the children of Ephemer are adopted 👍🏻
