Foyle and Monday profiles!
Something I painted as a reference for these two to use in Art Fight last month. I have not painted my girls in a dog's age and man I miss them. Look at their cute little faces!

Missed Monday
So, in keeping with my plan to catch up for this week, I wanted to find something that has been “missed” by a lot of people. That really wasn’t that hard to do, so the hardest thing I had for this week was picking where to start. So here it is. This one is from “Private Classes.” It was, I believe, my first ever Mandrea (Merle Dixon/Andrea Harrison) one shot. I thought it was a cute little one shot but, clearly, only a couple of people agreed. So here’s a litlte sample, in case you missed it.

Andrea had come with her hair tied back in a ponytail. She'd come with make up on, yes, and cologne, but it was clearly what remained after a long day of having worn it. She came dressed in gray, jersey material pants, an oversized navy t-shirt, and sneakers. She came to learn about the car.
Merle would have given just about anything, at the moment, to find out she'd come for something more.
"So—wait—is that the full line?" Andrea asked.
Merle almost slapped himself to try to come out of the stupor. He felt like he needed to go outside and douse himself with frigid water from the hose, but he wasn't going to do that. He leaned over her again to see what she was looking at. The oil stick again. If it was a test? She'd have failed it a few times already, but she was determined to get it right.
Merle might as well do his job because, up to now, it had almost been a self-taught class. That might be why she was failing so damn bad.
He handed her the paper towel that he'd been wiping his hands with repeatedly.
"Gotta wipe your stick off," he said. "Don't show a clear read if you leave it messy like that."
Andrea accepted the towel, looked confused because he'd failed to mention this so far, and then she wiped the stick off with the paper towel and looked at Merle with question on her face.
Those lips—he wanted to bite them.
Instead, he gestured with his head and looked back at the car.
"Stick it back in," he said.
He knew he made it up, but he thought he saw something of a smile on her lips. She did what he told her to do.
"Pull it out again," he said. "Then—look at it."
When she pulled it out, though, and held it up to catch the light enough to read where her oil actually was, she gave way and snorted before the snort broke into a laugh.
She shook her head, but the laughter only intensified. Despite himself, Merle laughed with her.
"I'm sorry!" She declared. "I'm sorry! I just—it just sounded...I'm sorry. I'm tired...and I'm—delirious? I'm just sorry."
She shook her head again and Merle felt other parts of his body asking for permission to speak. The voices in his mind told him this was perfect. It was the perfect moment. It was the perfect damn scenario. It wasn't getting any better than this.
He could make a move, lay it out there on the line. There were only two options. Either she accepted—in which case, he decided, they both won—or she rejected him. Rejection, honestly, didn't sting Merle all that damn much. And he could excuse himself for his transgression long enough to get her back on the road and sign her up to take the class with someone else.

So there it is! If you’re interested, and would like to read the rest, you can find it on my Ao3 or my FF accounts. Here’s the FF link. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11363264/1/Private-Classes
I was so lucky to get to meet and discover the beautiful art and comic of @elleskinner and I finally had the time to do a little doodle of her gorgeous protagonist Foyle! Foyle is from Elle’s super awesome comic Missing Monday and everyone should read it <333
So these are all the doodles I did for that “I <3 Webcomics” thing I posted yesterday. I got 8 Likes total, so I picked my fave character from 8 different webcomics I’m reading/have read.
Buwaro (and “Snowy”) from Slightly Damned. A fantasy that takes the “Angels vs Demons” trope and twists it all around! This was actually a comic Leigh introduced to me early in our relationship, and I was hooked.
Foyle Leaf from Missing Monday. I’ve hyped this one before, but I’ll summarize it again. It’s a fantastical story about two gals who fall in love and have to meet again SOMEHOW. Keys and corridors and strange creatures and bargainings....Oooh~
Nymph!Syrma from MoonSlayer (adult content warning). This one’s a high fantasy epic about a cursed girl and her journey to kill the moon. Curious? You’ll have to check it out then, huh?
Emily from Heroic Shenanigans. This one a simple tale about kids at a camp learning about their superpowers and how to use them and become actual heroes eventually!
Rana Tashovic from Sombulus. I just started reading this one recently, but it’s definitely keeping my attention. It’s a fun fantasy shonen-like tale about a group of magical/fighting/mechanic misfits traveling around the world and causing weirdness wherever they go.
Nwain from Nwain: The Knight Who Wandered Dream. An animated comic (it’s real neat), it’s about this gal who is searching for her home and along the way, helps others with their problems while figuring out her own.
Bailey from The Junk Hyenas Diner. Another one from the creator who made Slightly Damned, this one is a more lighthearted sci-fi slice-of-life where we focus on a small hyena-like clan and their little diner and the kinds of guests and silly shenanigans that can come with that, too
Penny Levac from the legendary Penny & Aggie. A tale about girl meets girl....and the people around them as well! This one’s finished, too. This was another comic Leigh showed me early on and we actually read it as it was finishing up. It was truly inspiring and I just had to pay tribute to it and one of my fave characters from it (don’t let her early form fool you; Penny is one complex character!)
