That’s what makes a relationship so genuine. You didn’t find “the one”, but you did find someone you want to spend your time with and dedicate yourself fully to. ~ I don't have a preference that's based in genre or anything like that, I just like watching Whatever Mr. Puzzles has lots of things to say about! It's really neat getting a behind the scenes look at how things in the creation process work! Even better when we're in the middle of a movie and suddenly pauses it, screen flickering to display a particular emotion, only to preoceed on a tirade about a certain thing, the ways it could be improved or how it sucks, an then presenting how he would fix it! I ADORE how passionate he gets about the little things! <33
~Mr. Puzzles himself has genres that he prefers to indulge in including horror, musicals, and things involving robots! He also generally likes to have input on what's being watched(we take turns to make it fair tbh) but is quick to jump on something in one of those genres. The genre he dislikes the most is rom-coms for sure! Like, you mention one to him and he'll be eye rolling or his screen will light up green with DisgustTM like so:
It takes some time but eventually he's able to find some romance more tolerable thanks to me! because of this, movies that have my f/os in or things I find comforting start to grow on him as well! He does enjoy watching me get excited and cheer when something good happens! If he hasn't seen the film somehow before that point, he makes note of it and seeks out more information to proudly share with me later~
~As for how getting ready for movie nights goes...there isn't a system or anything major? Just break out whatever snack we're feeling,(I always have popcorn) get out a couple of plush friends, some blankets, and bam! All set!
~We've fallen asleep together on the couch before though I'm a lot more prone to it siiiince Puzzles has insomnia :( He says he finds it easier to relax with me but Insomnia is his own beast. So, he'll either sit there with me cuddled on him or shift me cautiously so he can do something else.
