When I first listened to Understanding, the intro reminded me of the FNaF movie version of dream theory and how Mike tries to search in his dreams to try to find the answer of who could have taken in Garrett. He looks deep into his mind, every corner, every possibility, and yet still not finding the answer. He’s always so close to finding out but always being too late. The imprint of Garret’s disappearance sticks with him. It will never leave until some type of closure is found.
I heavily recommend listening to this song. It’s so beautiful. Amy Lee is truly a legend. The amount of emotion she can put into a song is exceptional.
