Charlotte “Charlie” Emily/The Marionette/Lefty edit.

Happy death day to one of the best characters in the entire franchise!!

I’ve had this idea on my checklist for a couple months now, and I always thought it would be too ambitious for me. I’ve been scared of editing the Clickteam era (except for SL). For the movie and SWS games edits, there’s a lot of motion in the clips that I could rely on. I knew I had to be a little bit more creative for this one. I’m very proud of how it turned out. It might be one of my favorite edits I’ve ever made.

Theme: Well, Rain!

One of the overlays has the texture of a clean, streaky window with fingerprints (although you can barely see the fingerprints 😞), and I chose it because it fits the edit perfectly. Charlie’s fingerprints pressed against the window that faces the alley. The overly kind of gave you a view of being inside the pizzeria, watching the edit. Especially paired with the raindrops behind it. I used a similar overlay from the same pack for my Vanessa "It Was All A Lie" edit. Swzydzn’s textures are so good.

I love this song to death. It’s so beautiful. It reminds me so much of FNaF, not even just Charlie. I’ve been itching to make another Amy Lee edit.

A FNaF 12th Anniversary Edit.

Happy 12th anniversary to my favorite franchise, FNaF!!! To honor it I decided to edit the original trilogy, alongside my favorite characters from it!

I set up the edit to follow the timeline order of the games. First with FNaF 2 with the intro and the two mini games after that, then the fast paced FNaF 1 section (which I really try to on beat for, I’m sorry if it isn’t 😅) and lastly, ending it off the good ending of FNaF 3.

This is my first edit without any texts other than my watermark. I tried to find the “Oh Verona” & “Death Scene” lyrics but everywhere I looked was either just the narration after the choir part or that it was said to be in Italian. No one ever posted the Italian lyrics so 🤷🏽‍♀️. It sounds gorgeous though. All my edits are very lyric based so it was very challenging to not have direct words to go off of.

The intro & song was originally supposed to be for a crying child edit, but I loved it so much that I didn’t want to waste it centering on CC rather than the MCI. In this version it’s the Marionette who once was watching over the gifts at the prize counter, now watching over the missing children. The plushies are lined up in the order I think the missing children die in.

I hope this edit evoked the melancholy & bittersweet feeling the original trilogy always gave me.

I love this franchise so much, even through its ups and downs (especially from this year lol) it will always have a huge place in my heart. From being a passive fan in 2016 to dedicated fan since July/August 2021. It has gotten me through a lot and has always been there for me.

“Alone at night”

A Crying Child Edit.

Happy 11th anniversary, FNaF 4! To celebrate I made two Crying Child edits. This is the second of the two. This is also an improved and extended version of my older “All That I'm Living For” edit I posted in December. Halfway through making my Nemo CC edit, I was reminded of this one and I decided to bring it back to life. I’m very proud of how this turned out. I hope you enjoy it too!

Theories that fall under this edit: GoldenShattered/ShatteredVictim, LogbookDuo, CCRunaway, VengefulVictim, DuoDreamers (in the sense that the crying child originally experienced nightmare dreams, and then post-bite inflicted them onto Michael), WitnessNothing. The Fredbear plush imagery towards the end could be interpreted as either WillPlush or CassPlush.

“Take my darkest fears and play them.” I added Nightmare Fredbear’s laugh (sped up to sound like a little boy) at the part where Cassidy asked Michael if he had any dreams to show that CC is laughing at Michael just like how he laughed at him. The Crying Child is doing whatever he can to make Michael feel the way he did and worse.

A Vanessa Shelly-Afton edit

I finally got to do a Vanessa centric edit again. I love this song. When I heard the TV static in the third demo, I knew I had to edit Vanessa to it

I always thought it was interesting that Vanessa needed TV static to get into her dream, just like Mike needed nature/forest sounds. The TV static reminded me of Midnight Motorist, and I am writing a Vanessa fic that is somewhat based on it.

This is kind of a sister edit to my “For the love of a daughter” Vanessa edit. I’m still working on that one I promise. It’s just that every time I open it I feel like I’m being spring locked.

Is it obvious that the Michael Afton part was a last-minute addition? This is probably the most you will ever get out of me editing him. I literally hate him. Michael Afton encapsulates everything wrong with the FNaF 2 movie, nonetheless he is great for Vanessa angst.

The second “Fearing you, loving you. I won't let you pull me down” part is supposed to represent Vanessa’s underlying fear of being just like her father. She is fearing what she can become. Her going out of her way to try to save Charlotte directly refused that idea tho. While it didn’t work, it proves that she’s nothing like him. And then, close to two decades later, she goes out of her way to save Abby. One day I really want to make a Charlotte and Abby edit because there are so many similarities but I haven’t found a song that reminds me of them but I'm glad I was able to touch on it.

There is another Evanescence song that uses the audio clip “You hold the answer deep within your own mind.” from Terror in the Haunted House/My World Dies Screaming. It is Understanding and I made an edit to it in 2024 with Mike Schmidt.

I really hope this edit doesn’t get misinterpreted.

Song: Haunted (Demo #3 & #2) by Evanescence. While listening to the third demo, there was this one line that I didn’t think fit Vanessa, so I mixed a line in from the second demo. You can barely notice it. It went from “I know I’ll find you somehow” ––> “I won't let you pull me down” I changed it because I didn’t feel like it fit Vanessa.

A Charlotte Emily & Vanessa Shelly-Afton Edit

I hope this edit makes sense. I was listening to Voulez-Vous and when I got to Chiquitita, I connected it to Charlessa! It makes complete sense in my mind, but I don’t know if I translated it well enough in the edit. Nonetheless, enjoy!

Theme: A VHS of an old commercial (I guess), I was also partly inspired by the official Chiquitita lyric video. The theme was originally supposed to be way different. I wanted a more warm toned look. I’ve been to a lot of monochromatic edits lately so I was going to do a full yellow one, but I was struggling to get the right vibe for it. Then I was experimenting on what else I could do and I landed on this.

A Charlotte Emily & Vanessa Shelly-Afton Edit

Yes, another Vanessa and Charlotte edit #Charlessa4ever. Right after I finished my mega Charlotte edit I started this. I’ve been wanting to do this theme for about a month now. And when I heard this song, I knew it would be perfect for it.

I hope the ending makes sense. It’s implied that the only person Vanessa wasn't able to hide William’s abuse to and could confide in was Charlotte. Once she died, she lost that comfort and so did Charlotte as well. The original ending was supposed to be Vanessa living her day to day life as an adult but feeling like something is missing. There wasn’t enough time left to do it because I wanted to still include the attic part. I think if I kept that ending, the last clip would’ve been Vanessa bonding with the Schmidts. Maybe specifically Abby since she’s meant to be a lot like Charlotte.

Song: Maniac by Michael Sembello. This is actually the last song Charlotte heard before she died. It played when she was sitting at the birthday table. It’s kind of funny they chose this song because that scene takes place in 82 but the song released in 83. To be fair, it is a really fitting song.

A Charlotte Emily & Vanessa Shelly-Afton Edit

My first FNaF 2 edit!! Technically it’s my second. I started making this while I was still working on a different Charlotte edit. That will be the next one I finish and post (hopefully). This is now one of my favorite edits, and it’s only second to my first Charlie edit!

I have very mixed opinions on the FNaF 2 movie, but despite its flaws, I love it. On initial viewing I rated it a 7/10, but after I slept on it, it was more of a 6/10. Charlotte and Vanessa were by far my favorite parts of the movie. I can’t wait to see more of them. I’ve loved how Charlotte was characterized.l

Song: You Are The Moon by The Hush Sound. I love this band. Once I heard this song, I instantly thought of The Marionette.
