Ok so, I put money aside specifically to make fun purchases occasionally in case something comes up that's time limited or maybe fore once a year events ect. and so when a really expensive limited edition version of the GDT Frankenstein Artbook announced I pre-ordered that shit immediately LMAO. that's the only reason I have it and I feel very lucky that I do. I've put some pictures below the cut of the actual items it contains., and can share the purchase listing if people want. The quality is great, and the box this stuff came shipped in weighed almost as much as me dfkadfkdj. I'm the "Frankensetin Freak" (affectionate) and all my friends know, it so the amount of limited merch and items produced for this film that my friends keep linking to me, that now are eating my fun savings, is immense. Warning: Pictures of the Limited Edition of the Del Troro Frankenstein Artbook Collector's Set below in case people want to either see or not see it.

this is the worst why must you smite thus, oh great and terrible smiter???? smh i like how adaptable my writing is! which feels weird to say, but I know that after being in various RPCs for over a decade and doing some minor (very minor!!!) publishing, my work is pretty ok! & I tend to nail character voices pretty well once I've had a chance to sink into them & find the meat of the thing I'm trying to portray with them. i'm not going to say i'm the best by any means but I am comfortable at least saying it's something I think I'm stronger in than maybe other aspects!

🍑 What is something you hyperfocus on in your portrayal?

he's so absolutely touch-starved & desperate for any crumb of positive attention & conversely would probably rather leap off a cliff than try and actually seek it out. the Creature has been so deeply hurt by the few experiences he has had where he's extended a hand out in friendship and been met with scorn or violence instead that trying anymore is almost more painful to think about than whatever the rejection could have been anyway. Creature just also absolutely adores nature so I already know I'm going to have to crack open my best dictionary to find more words for the majesty of snow-capped mountains & the rambling paths of brooks untouched by human eyes.

🪻 Do you prefer sending memes or receiving them?

depends on the muse! for Creature it's much easier to receive them simply because as a character he is so opposed to going out to meet others than a lot of memes just don't make sense for him to say or do. meanwhile he's very reactive once approached! several of my other muses, past and present, are better for sending memes. no one gets upset seeing a nice penguin in their inbox, now do they? :)

such honeyed words are a balm to his beleaguered spirit in such the way warm tea soothes a weary soul. it quenched some of the damned flames that scorch him, & yet others burn all the brighter for the solace, unchecked. the compliments were fire indeed - oh to be so deeply hurt by such gentle warmth - what a piteous devil he must be indeed?

& for what? what cause from this stranger for kindness to he, the most wretched of creations? head hangs, face obscured by the curtain of his ill-kept hair and the rest of him stood frozen in the shade where he had hoped to have remained unseen. & what of their knowledge? was it so clear the cause of his monstrosity to the naked eye, so plain what his maker's means of work was? a hand reaches for a moment, unbidden, to paw at the edge a stitch, before thought retakes him & the limb retracts with force. shame climbs his throat like strangling vines.

"You cannot know this. My manner of being. I am a thing apart from man and should be scorned for it, rightfully; this is a truth I have hard learned. To say such niceties is beyond what I am deserved....I thank you for them, though I know not what could have brought them about."

@valecfdragons (an egg 👀 🥚) | an egg bobs within frozen waters, its shell a shade of emerald. the river carries it far, far, to places mankind doesn't like to touch. an elk raises its head from drinking to watch the strange migration, snorting a warm mist into the air.

finally, it reaches the end of its journey, bumping lazily against the icy shores and beaches itself. it twitches once, twice. then a crack spiderwebs across the shell.

he had made his way to the farthest corner of the world he could stand to reach, the furthest north he could manage without fully losing all touch with nature in some manner. the trees were scrubby & sparse, the animals thin and skittish - humanity ceased to touch this realm of ice & isolation some several hundred leagues to the south. it was he alone who wandered the wintry wastes here.

it was a level of bitter loneliness he had not thought possible even in his previous grief & rage.

necessity brought him to the edges of a river, carved through the stone & ice of the wilderness. his steps are deceptively light, & his form now familiar to the creatures of this land - he passes without alarm by several large horned beasts in his search for water. it was to his great surprise upon exiting the thin edge of the woods that he found something already settling along the riverbank; an egg, of proportions he had never seen before.

a snapping noise drew his attention more clearly to it, past his initial shock, realization dawning. pieces of shell seemed to be pushing away from the rest, the structure crumbling.

the egg, whatever it was & however it had come to rest here, was hatching.

instinctively he began to rush towards it, worried - surely no manner of creature could survive topping into frigid water such as this mere moments from birth? he had little to offer whatever would exit the casing but his own worn clothing, but his coat is divested anyway, in hopes it may be of any use to the beast soon to make its' entry to the world.

OOC. Thank you! This was sent a while ago and I've been sitting on it because looking at it made me happy. I'm an unfortunately busy person and feel bad about how spread out my rp posts are, but it's nice that at least what I do get done is good enough to make someone pleased enough to tell me! he was as much touched by the gesture as he was embarrassed to be so thoroughly read by a teenager.

"Ah, that obvious I'm missing Evelyn while she's off on that research symposium, eh? Not to worry; I am much used to solitude, even if it's been an age since I last had to endure it in much capacity." of course, it wasn't quite as dire as he words belied, but having learned speech and word from stolen classic literature there was only so 'casual' he could be. the reality is that while he did greatly miss his wife, his child was still around as well as their pets - he would be fine...probably.

he really didn't handle being alone well these days in all honesty.

Often times, how utterly lonely he is. How desperately he wishes for a companion, any companion, of any kind.

Others, how he will set about the next day; what direction he will travel, what he will attempt to gather for subsistence, what he will do to work towards whatever goal it is he is working towards. Sometimes, if he is longing for sleep or merely trying to occupy his mind from other, darker thoughts, he will mentally recite poetry or his favorite passages from the books he has read until sleep finally claims him.
