I LIKE THIS IDEA! I HAVE SO MAY FEELS ABOUT THEM!
LET'S DO IT.
actually there aren't lots of shows that have "positive messages" (what does that mean? we have agency, we have our own stories? not that you can tell from the stunningly diverse and multitude of shows that star queer protagonists -- oops, that was sarcasm).
I've written about this the last time I made a fuss and got a bunch of anon hate-- you can read it here.
And as for the "go elsewhere" vibe of your ask, please read this if you're truly interested about why i am so sick and tired of that ideology.
lol i am not obsessive about it. you know what? in the past week and out of 17 pages of reblogs, poetry, and other stuff i've made five posts that were sj-themed regarding SPN. Everything else? was me responding either to love anons, misc. questions, or to haters (and i'm the one obsessed? what are the people trying to shut me down by saying how sensitive/infantile/"crazy" i am? i've received so much hate, i've had to come up with an anon hate tag so that my followers can savior it if they so choose).
Also, I'm still waiting for an answer to a question I asked at the end of this this post but for ease of reading, here, i'll replace it here:
i’m curious. i genuinely want to know why people are so resistant to this idea—even if it’s already a safe place for you why is it so unthinkable to help make it an even safer place so that somebody else can find refuge in it too?
So tell me. i'm curious.
i genuinely want to know why people are so resistant to the idea that instead of asking people to leave, they should instead tell the writers of these oppressive narratives to stop being oppressive.
even though it is impossible to erase the marginalization of past episodes, there is absolutely nothing standing in the way of the writers making better, non-marginalizing episodes and story lines.
so why are people told to leave instead of the writers being told to stop marginalizing people?
Omg so much support for contradicting that post about racism. I was hoooorrified as I read it and pretty much 100% what you posted.
Heh, thanks.
Horrified doesn't really even begin to describe it, honestly. I thought I was going to explode with rage, and I felt so bad for that anon who probably thought they were a horrible person, and they weren't and just ugh. I don't like these people. Or at least their ideas.
Hello to misslacee and elizabethbennets!!
Thank you for following :D
@ misslacee
I got your message! :) I would post it, but since it has your email in it, I'm gonna save it. Plus, I don't wanna share that with everyone. I haven't updated since chapter three, but when I do, I'll send it to you :)
