"Hey babe," Virgil smiled softly, opening his arms for you.
"What do you want?" You smiled back, walking over to him and let him hug you, head resting on your stomach.
"Nothing," he mumbled, you smiled and played with his hair that was relatively soft without gel, knowing there probably was something he wanted.
"That bad huh?"
Virgil nodded mutely.
You sighed softly and wrapped your arms over his back, rubbing him down softly while he was still latched onto you.
It was different seeing him out of his usual red plaid, the jumper on him now softer but hell it got caught on everything.
"Sit down," he mumbled softly, letting go of you briefly so you could.
You did, back against the wall and the warm fire to your left and let him cuddle into you, hugging him softly with one arm whilst the other cradled his head against your chest, kissing his forehead softly.
Sometimes all he needed was to sit quietly with someone, sometimes playing on the piano or painting, sometimes just being on his own, it really depended on what had happened during the rescue.
"Do you want to talk about it?" You asked softly. He shifted to be on his back laying against you.
"Maybe.."
He looked up at you, his big brown eyes darkened from sadness and pakn of todays mission.
You kissed his forehead again and he smiled softly, reaching up to cup your face and kiss you softly.
His eyes became glossy as tears threatened to spill. Your heart broke at the sight and you wanted to just wrap him in bubble wrap and blankets and anything soft, hide him from the outside world so nothing could hurt him.
"I love you," you sighed softly, a small smile on your face.
He smiled back, kissing you softly, hiding the tear that rolled down his cheek as he did so, sneakily wiping it away.
"You're not very sneaky you know that?"
@misstb2 replied to your photo “I... they’re literally from Kansas??!?!?!”
I thought the Ranch was in Australia (just frown at me haha) I assumed it would be in a country not far from the island itself but like their home I guess we’re not really meant to know
Definitely not Aus (the lack of the accent is the big giveaway there), though Penelope has a resort there and that could be what you’re thinking of. It’s literally TOS canon that they’re from America though, they 100% grew up on a farm in Kansas. Most fans felt the TAG Tracy ranch was representative of this, though belonging to their Mother’s side of the family, instead of Grandpa Grant, like we assume the farm is.
@misstb2 mentioned you on a post “Virgil!? I don’t want to drop these, where are you!?? E has got you...”
@starman-john-tracy I knew I had another John lover on here. Did you get a present
“I, ah, what for?” John blinks, surprised and, honestly, a little alarmed. The vast majority of surprise present’s he’s received have either been glitter-filled or very dangerous. The Tracy’s have more enemies out there than just The Hood it seems, and so, rightfully, John is a little wary of accepting gifts.
“It was Virgil’s birthday yesterday,” He considers, wondering what exactly has warranted this, “There’s no reason for me to get a present... is there?”
Thinking of starting a Thunderbirds fic with these words:
“Down to a tranquility unbroken by fickle dreams”
Please go ahead and do it too if you’d like, they’re not my words they were on the background of a bookmark
