so i haven't said anything here until now but i've agreed to take on the "Backup Head Cashier" role at work, where I mostly remain a normal cashier but have the credentials to do Head Cashier things if, say, one of them isn't there that day.

I just checked the new schedule and they put in me in for a few days as Head Cashier

i was told not to be nervous though, because the normal closing head cashier should be there those days. so im chill. haha. hahahaha. im so chill. about it

If I had the time, energy, resources, skill, etc etc etc, I'd make a visual novel type of game that's literally just a Befriending Dal simulator, with different trust stages showing by way of things like "Dalamus now trusts you enough to sit next to you!" and "Dalamus now trusts you enough to eat your cooking!" and things of that nature

I dont know how many people that sort of thing is appealing to, but it doesnt matter bc it won't be made, but in my mind that's how it goes

#missy rambles #ooc #and it does NOT lead to some ''inevitable'' romantic/sexual relationship #bc im so tired of games with Companionship/Trust mechanics acting as if Romance/Sex is assumed to be the goal of getting close to someone #you don't think characters can have friends they'd kill/die for in the blink of an eye?? without ever having dated or kissed them even once #skill issue and honestly kind of sad if you think friendship can't be JUST as powerful and intense and important

Saw a dad and his toddler son at the checkout. Dad bought a long narrow piece of lumber, and the son wanted to carry it.

Dad says "I'll let you carry the receipt, okay?"

Dad pays, grabs the receipt, and tries to hand it to his son.

Toddler stomps his little feet and says something grumpily. Angy

Dad seems to understand instantly, and places the receipt back into the slot it came from, so his son could grab it. Son was happy

Dad looks at me and gently but slightly tiredly says "It's just not worth the fight" lmao
