MistakenMagic’s (A Remover Of Obstacles) awesome and wonderful Star Wars AU and sow a star divided in us has been completed and noone has any excuse not to read it anymore! :D It is glorious, so much fun and absolutely worth your time ;)

Synopsis:

Short summary: Gays in space!

Longer summary: After his first successful solo mission, Jedi Knight Bilbo Baggins, trained by High Council member and full-time nuisance, Master Gandalf, returns to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. During an excursion to the sparring arena, he meets a group of Dwarven Jedi from Ered Luin, a mountainous planet located in the Outer Rim. Young padawans, Fili and Kili, are full of curiosity at this strange, barefoot Jedi, but Master Thorin, who appears to have the personality of a rancor and mental shields like blast doors, is less than impressed.

(Warning (for those who haven’t read my gushing about these fics a thousand times already): MIND THE TAGS. Seriously. Those following me for a while probably already know this, but Remover of Obstacles is very angsty. Super good! But for the love of god, mind the tags! Anyway, Dust in the Road is less angsty, but only in relation to the amount of fluffy, happy bits :D both are an A++ read!)

Happy Fan Fic Writer Appreciation Day!

One of the best things about being a fan fic writer is the friendships I’ve made...tossing roses to my fic buddies and writers I’ve just loved reading...

BlueRiverSteel, PrincessQuill, MistakenMagic, idrylla, Cassandrala, Jessie152, Luxio Nyx, Vera_Dragon Muse, Nenithiel, and ThatOtherWriterGirl...among many others.  Hats off!  Hand on heart....

And a special sword maiden’s salute to the amazing BlueRiverSteel who embarked on a co-authoring adventure with me, and especially huge hugs to the amazing Jessie152, who is translating and posting my own stories into German.  ((hugs)) and continues to be a steadfast friend on this unexpected journey.

Hello, hello! Infamous tumblr-lurker MistakenMagic here :D I do indeed still frequent your blog! I stumbled upon your post whilst having a coffee in the staff lounge at an amusement park whilst my students were off gallivanting on rollercoasters. Sorry I didn’t respond to this that quick! I’ve apologize to you on AO3 already for that xD; Well I would be so honoured to have a teacher who is a certified Bagginshield trash! TBH when you say that Frodo/Four prompts, it made me think– I remember seeing those videos of babies just getting confused because their dad has a twin brother. Not like Thorin has a twin, but I thought it would be really cute and funny if Frodo can’t decide on which uncle he wants to carry him. Once Frodo sees Bilbo, he has his arms out, ready to be taken from his mom. But then after seeing Thorin as well, he just keeps looking back and forth between Bilbo and Thorin, not sure which uncle to pick xD

Mistaken Magic - Geography

Okay, I will state up front that I am not posting any of the rough sketches I have come up with so far.  Why?  Because they are super crude and really just a reference for me.  Plus, I’m still working on filling things in.  I have, so far at least, come up with a close up map of the area next to Teagan’s house, along with an overview of the larger neighborhood and then a general reference for the layout of the town.

I still need to draw a map of the center of town, showing businesses, parks, schools, the local hospital, etc.  I also need to detail Teagan’s yard, the woods just behind it and the places where the fairy world has intersected it.  This mundane, real world stuff will be pretty straightforward, but then I need to tackle....

The Fairy World. :)

Or, at least the parts of the fairy world that Teagan is likely to visit.  That will be a bit more involved.  I have some research to sift through and I will also be looking at some pictures I’ve found for inspiration.  It will be some work, but I think it will be a lot of fun.
