They say if it's stuck in your head, you should play it. So I did. Funny story: I was horribly uncool in middle school (some would say both before and after as well) (all actually) but some popular girls found out I played guitar and wanted to recruit me so they could sing Mister Jones for the school talent show. I agreed all too excitedly, since no popular person had ever paid any mind to me before, except for punching purposes. I went home and practiced for hours. I wanted to be good. I was good. I nailed that shit. The day of tryouts, I got horribly sick. Had to go home early and everything. I did not realize that, if you weren't there for tryouts, you couldn't be in the show. One of the girls called me later that night and told me, "You really fucked this up for us!" And I never heard from them again. A week later, they were singing at the talent show, having a blast, and I think a teacher filled in for them. They did not win. They'll never be big stars.
