Fate, who had been sleeping on Wyatt's floor by the bed, awoke with a start at Wyatt's yell. She tried to scramble to her feet, only to fall on her butt again. She then practically climbed up the bed, reaching for Wyatt in the darkness. Her hand found his cheek. "Wy, its okay. Only a nightmare."

Wyatt shook his head, reaching out for her, only to pull her to him.  He didn't really care much, if she thought he was cold, he just needed someone for him to hold, to know he was there, and not in that nightmare, to know she was alive, and that she hadn't died, that she was with him, and he wasn't alone.  "I'm scared." Scared of being unable to do anything, of being weak and powerless, unable to save her or control his abilities.

You look sadly at the forest that surrounds you, your eyes lingering sadly at the lake, which had been freshly frozen over. A ghostly, familiar voice rings out, "You didn't save me, Wy...why didn't you save me?" The is that of a girl, someone you used to love. The voice is sad, heartbroken. You look around. You KNOW that voice. You loved the girl that voice belonged to.

Wyatt yelled, loudly and full of anguish, he knew that voice, knew exactly who it belonged to.  Fate, a girl he'd come to grow more and more fond of, till that fondness grew into a love for the blond.  He didn't save her, he couldn't save her... he was too weak to do anything, he didn't know how, he couldn't control his powers.  And as he woke up, sitting straight up in his bed, tears streaming down his cheeks, breathing in and out raggedly, the boy yelled out Fate's name. "... I should'a saved her." Even if it was a nightmare, even if it wasn't real... Wyatt knew he should've saved her.

Fate smiled brightly. She opened her mouth to say something, but she clamped her mouth shut and covered her mouth with both hands. Nope, she couldn't say that. Nope.

"... I-I uh..." he stammered, "dammit I'm just gonna come out with it already." Wyatt stated.  "I like you." For once in his damn life he wasn't oblivious to that, to how he felt about her.  He knew he liked her, and it.. it felt great, to know what he was feeling.  "I like you a lot, and that--... that time I asked you to go sledding... I was trying to ask you--to ask you out, I just couldn't.. get myself to ask you more than sledding..." 

"... But I wanna know, cause dammit I'm just gonna ask this time.  Will you go out on a date with me?"

"I-I'm not sure if th-this'll be w-weird or n-not but a greyface is making me." Fate cleared her throat, stood on her tiptoes, and pressed her lips against Wyatt's.

"..... Grey face is making you do.. what--" Wyatt froze where he was, and felt her lips peck his own.  He would've blushed, but the most he could do was turn a light shade of pink since blushing required his face to over heat.  And heat? Nope, he had it yeah, he wasn't a freaking ice cube, he was warm-- just not compared to normal people.  "Oh.. uh.. they made you do that." So she.. didn't mean it then, huh? Right, don't get your hopes up, Wy.  Grey faces made her do it.
