Mmm, so firstly, @astrawalk. Ryder is so great. So like, Ryder’s on hiatus at the moment, but that’s grand because I’m gonna gush anyway - Ryder’s Thor is just written so fucking well. There’s so much complexity behind him, and what I love most of all is the way that the mythology is incorporated and quietly woven in with the canon elements - it’s just masterfully done, and I adore it. Thor is a deeply flawed, difficult man, but more than that, he is a god. This is a wonderful facet of this character: I think that Ryder and Lilie both just, really command that focus that these are not just people, they are divinities, and there is a lot of strength and power in that, but there is also a necessary distance, a superiority. It makes Thor so interesting, to view him from that perspective, and to see how distinctly not-human he is and how that affects his person, and I adore it.
@misunne, Ryder’s other half, is just... *kisses fingers like an Italian chef* Everyone and their mum knows that I don’t really do canon Loki myself, and that I don’t follow many canon Lokis, but I think my favourite thing about Lilie is how she incorporates these mythological elements and yet, Loki still feels distinctly like his MCU-canon counterpart, with this wonderful line between “fun chaotic wine mom” and “terrible conqueror”, and I just love that. I really love Lilie’s considerations of Loki’s emotional vulnerabilities and the way he’s affected by the world around him, too, just !! You know.
