Jennifer McKelvay, The Crosswinds (2004) Film Photography.
I have had such a surreal experience in the past few weeks going through old photos from when I was a kid. Not only the amount of these photos and moments that I remember but the way that we had documented them. Many of the photos I went through were old film photos that my mom took however I stumbled upon a file of my old film photos. What struck me the most about the photos that I took was how much I carried around my camera like I have done for years since, I documented not only my interaction with my family but also with my friends and I'm sure if you asked many of those that surround me that this true to this day!
What surprised about some of the photos was not only my gut reaction to capture these moment but how I did so is still relevant to the way i continue to practice my photography. One of the images that caught my eye so much was this image of the Crosswinds restaurant in Mitchell, Ontario. It is an image that I took with my very first film camera, which therefore holds a special place in my heart.
