Tsukishima’s gruff, irritated questioning was cut-off by a pair of lips meeting his own. Honeyed brown eyes widened a fraction in shock as a warm tingle zipped up and down his spine from the contact. Surprisingly, though abrupt, the kiss was anything but overbearing. It was just about what one would expect from the soft-hearted ace. Sweet, tender, gentle and above all: careful. The tone extended into the way Asahi was pinning Tsukishima against the wall.

Beyond the initial hard impact, he could scarcely say he was uncomfortable. The larger, rougher hands pinning his shoulders were firm but did not apply so much pressure as to be painful. The older boy had slotted their legs together to avoid stepping on any toes or making the kiss more awkward than it already was. Tsukishima almost could have appreciated a kiss like this, were it not completely out of left field. And coming from someone he was decidedly not in a relationship with.

Belatedly, he brought his hands up to hesitantly push at the third year’s chest, silently signaling for him to back up. Anyone else probably would have been shoved to the floor, but the entire situation was so leg-weakeningly tender that initially, he could not find the motivation to be so unforgiving.
