Mito Uzumaki. The White Chrisantemum

Inspired by ancient japanese verse from ‘Wakan Roeishu - 和漢朗詠集’, an anthology of Chinese and Japanese poems compiled by Fujiwara no Kintō: “Autumn tempests have devastated the orchids in the garden of the Imperial Palace. One can see there only the white chrysanthemums.” (My credits to pikacheeka for help in translation) This imperial flower is a symbol of nobility, joy and longevity. But a white chrisantemum is used for funerals and graves. Lady Mito survives her husband, her family, all her Land of Whirlpools. She lived with the memories… Paper, watercolour, acrilic, 46x33 cm.

OutOfWhirlpool: Since I bought the five books of the Song of Ice and Fire (Game of thrones) series, I have this want to do Mito all Dany Targaryen style (Because Targaryen's are freaking epic ok). So...... for the AU day of Mito week, I think I will try to do something like that. Try, being the key word here.
