Guys, you're all lovely, but please only tag me in fanart, fanworks, or things of that genre. I do not like being tagged in tag lists, even by people I'm friends with. There's a couple of people who have been doing this frequently, and while I've ignored it for a while, it's started to be nearly every day, and I don't enjoy it.

I will not be doing any picrews in big chains, I will not be answering weird facts about myself and tagging five others, and I really would like it if these stopped.

I am not someone who dislikes being tagged if you're talking about my fics or anything, but not in those lists. Please understand <3

Since Twitchcon has begun, here’s my boundaries regarding this event:

- Don’t sell merch of my fics, you may hand out free stickers or whatever but no selling it

- Don’t mention my fics to any CCs face, but cosplays of them are fine and I want to see pictures.

- Behave in chats. You can say hi to me if I’m there, but as usual, don’t mention my fics there.

I trust you guys, and I want you to have fun! I’m only specifying publicly because a few people have asked me privately already! Enjoy the event!

It’s been a while and I’ve been getting more comments about it, so please allow me to remind you that I strongly dislike comparisons to Tommy’s Clinic for Supervillains. I was not inspired by it. If anything, I was inspired by Apothecary Diaries. It’s beginning to upset me again.

It’s very hard to continue having motivation when I get constant comments on every platform about it. There’s only an alleyway healing scene and a kidnapping scene that they have vaguely in common, but both both are immensely different from TCSV and common to a superhero genre, and yet all I get are day after day comparisons.

I know the fandoms overlap, and saying it brings you similar joy to when you read this other fic is sweet, but saying “oh this must have been inspired by TCSV bc they’re so similar,” when I’ve put so much effort into this story and its characters is so disheartening.

I don’t want to be a bother, and this is probably the last time I’ll bring it up, but please just remind yourselves that no artist or writer likes to be told their art is exactly the same as someone else’s. I know you don’t mean any harm. Just be aware. Keep it private please.

so uhm, I don't know if anyone has asked this before, but how do you feel about translations of your works?

I'm asking because I was curious if you would be okay with midnight strangers being translated into danish?

(And it's also,,, a convenient excuse to reread ms)

I am alright with translations so long as I am given proper credit, no AI is used, and there’s no commercial gain from it being reuploaded!

What are your thoughts on ppl selling selfmade merch of your fanfics? 🩷

My singular rule so far has been no commercializing anything of mine. I wouldn’t like it. If someone does something wrong, like selling physical copies of the fic, not only is that hurting me with someone else profiting off my hard work, it could get me into serious trouble.

Yes, I’ve always been alright with making something and giving it away not for a profit. I’d just maybe ask that you keep it between you and your close friends.

With Midnight Strangers being rated as teen plus audience, how do you feel with younger people reading it? Me and my cousins are really close and is mostly involved in the same fandoms so we tend to share our favorite fics, but I've got this younger cousin who I don't share fics to for a good reason. Well, she's young.

Butttt, I do tell her about it. I just share the details and the plot. But then she told me that her classmates were reading midnight strangers, and well, I was overjoyed because holy moly, midnight strangers is amazing. But the thought of very young individuals reading it made me curious.

How do you feel with younger audiences reading Midnight Strangers?

I’m probably going to up the rating with this addition of this next chapter from Teen to Mature. The former worked fine when I was starting out as just a couple of surgery scenes, but no longer suffices.

It’s on my mind often these days, especially as this fic goes beyond what I ever could’ve expected it would, and reaches audiences that aren’t as gentle with themselves as I would prefer. Getting comments of people like “i read this despite knowing it would trigger me haha” has not been amusing, and typically - though not always - that comes from younger audiences.

I try to keep my works rated PG-13. I can’t protect everyone, because some people will go against their own better judgment despite any barriers I put up, but I have put in place what myself and the many eyes that check over my work before it’s posted believe to be a solid enough warning to prevent what I can.

I’m not thrilled, if I’m honest, to hear some of my readers described as being “very young,” but I know the state of the internet and I can’t pretend to be surprised. I hope they listen to my warnings, don’t read it simply because it’s a trend, know their own limits, and react appropriately. I really cannot do much more than I have already done. This is the story I want to write, with all its flaws and darker plot lines, and I can’t control how it’s received and by whom.

add on to the book binding question-

I take commishies to bind/rebind books and if I were to get a request to do MS would that count as selling it? I'm not selling the book itself but the service of binding it? does that make sense?

I wouldn’t count it as that, no. People are paying you for the service not the book, as long as you’re not like selling the book off in large quantities i really don’t care.
