by zero means am I yelling “GET IT DONE NOW! I DESERVE FANFIC AND YOU DONT DESERVE ANYTTHING!” but why did you say christmas eve if it wasn’t done? Im not saying that it was to long of a wait and im not trying to be mean but I think we would rather let you have until news years for example then delays over and over, give you more time instead of you rushing and stressing about it because you had to delay. you did get bad news and I hope your okay and wish you the best, but why didnt you postpone longer? I think my main question is,
Why did you post the crossword and date if you hadn’t edited the chapter? No rush at all on the chapter editing!! not at all what I’m trying to say
Hi! I don’t think you mean this to be an upsetting ask, but I’m getting a lot like this, so I’m just going to answer it honestly: I had started editing by the time the crossword was posted. It was on track to be completely done Tuesday evening.
Unfortunately, my world got flipped on its head. I didn’t expect a tragedy literally the second I publicly announced my scheduled date. In the past, I’ve been capable of editing 20k words in two hours. I set aside all of Tuesday to finish that chapter. I took the day off from work and everything just to get it done. After the news, I have not been operating at my usual capacity.
My beta readers typically never even need to step in to help with editing - this stage is supposed to be all on me. The reason they are this time is not because the chapter is long. It’s because I’m sleep deprived, and they are angels sent from the heavens to help me rest.
I have another project I’m working on that I’m hoping to get posted closer to New Years, so I’ve been desperately attempting to get this out of the way to make that possible. I’ve been looking forward to this for so long. Postponing MS further than necessary, even if it would probably be better, is just not something I think I can do.
I appreciate your concern <3 It is close to done <3
