Idk if this was asked before but. What do you think if Kazuichi x Ryota? I searched it in Google and it seems it doesn't exists. But say what do you think of it?
Me thinks it’s plausible and why not, eh? I can only imagine it’ll be extraordinarily helpful to have a capable mechanic around who will be down to fix your animation tech on a favor/budget because we damn well know that Ryouta aint getting paid shit for his hard work lmao. Plus there’s just some tablets/tools that get discontinued and honestly are just so valuable to have on hand, but trying to find a replacement can be such a pain when most of the newer models are just not what you’re looking for or need (speaking from personal experience). I’d imagine that Ryouta would try to pay him back as best as possible in the form of lunch/dinners/scoring tickets to events Kazuichi might be interested in going to. Something like:
Ryouta: “Hey Kazuichi, why so sad?”
Kazuichi: “Sonia cancelled last minute to that anime horror fest thing in Kyoto, but I already booked us a room and everything and can’t get my money baaaack. I don’t even like horror anime man! I just asked you for those tickets for her! WHYYYYYY-“
Ryouta: “Well it’d be a shame to let your room go to waste, why not just take trip to Kyoto?
Kazuichi: “And do what be lonely?!?”
Ryouta: “Actually there’s a really great museum about mechs in Kiyoto if I remember correctly. It was run by an acquaintance of mine though I think he only does private tours now considering how valuable some of the stuff in his collection is.”
Kazuichi: “Wait for real?? BRO CAN YOU GET US IN???”
Ryouta: “Ehe, maybe? I’d have to give him a call.”
Kazuichi: “LES GOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”
And then Kaz realizes he accidentally booked a couples suite so now they have to share a bed.
Oh you thought I wouldn’t make this a slow burn friendship to lovers with classic romance tropes huh??? SIKE EVERYTHING CAN BECOME A FRIENDSHIP TO LOVERS TROPE IF THEY SPEND ENOUGH QUALITY TIME TOGETHER!! I’d also like to imagine that Kaz would be such a helpful reference and consultant whenever Ryouta needs to deal with mech/tech things in his animations. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of their past times is just Kazuichi coming up with some of his most absurd build ideas that Ryouta then figures out how to incorporate into his anime lol.
