Mitsuboru Headcanon

Mitsuki has to fight Borushiki in his Sage Mode to get Boruto back,but he doesn't wanna go all out and hurt Boruto,yet he knows he can't hold back or else Momoshiki will show no mercy,so he's just getting tossed around,trying to figure out what's the right thing to do.

Mitsuboru Headcanon

Mitsuki Retrieval Arc,but Boruto has the Hanahaki Disease the whole time.

It starts off as him with just a bad cough,but after Mitsuki stabs him,he starts coughing up purple Hyacinth petals.

At first it's manageable,but he nearly chokes as he watches Mitsuki start to hand off the heart to Ku and the cough worsen when Mitsuki says he's a replaceable clone. He chokes again on petals and even coughs up full flowers during the fight with Ku,being protected by Mitsuki.

Once Mitsuki's back home safe and sound,the coughing finally stops as Boruto and Mitsuki spend time together again.

-I picked purple Hyacinths because of the meaning the flowers have. It felt fitting given the way Boruto felt during the arc.

So I wanted to work on my Clone Boruto AU,but I ended up with this Imperfect Boruto AU instead.

Basically a group of imperfect artificial humans wants Mitsuki to join them and when he refuses,they inject something into Boruto that completely rewrites his DNA and makes him "Imperfect" to get back Mitsuki for rejecting them.

Boruto's mind is gone a bit too from whatever was in the shot,changing his personality and making it hard for him to remember many things,and he talks with a wheeze due to the changes to his body crushing his lungs a little.

Based on my headcanon where Boruto dies and Mitsuki clones him,then raises the clone as his son.

Mitsuboru Headcanon

I blame today's episode of this idea:

Mitsuki's body is slowly dying while he's mind has finally slipped when he kidnaps Boruto so they can be alone when he passes.

Boruto is unsettled by Mitsuki's actions,but that quickly turns into anger when Mitsuki tells him about the medicine and his condition. He just didn't understand why Mitsuki didn't take the medicine when he had the chance.

Mitsuki only smiles at Boruto's fit before giving him a kiss,catching Boruto off guard,and saying,"I wanted to remember you the way I wanted to.",causing Boruto to tear and start thinking that this might somehow be his fault.

A week or so passes before Naruto finds where Mitsuki was hiding them at and walks into the room to see a broken apart,dead Mitsuki on the ground and a crying Boruto curled up in the corner.
