i get we used to fanon s1 ineffable bureaucracy; the crack, the violent, the enemies with benefits, maybe angst BUT OH MY GOOODFFDDPPHH I’M SO IN LOVE WITH THEIR S2 CANON SELVES like—???????????? I loved the fanon s1 bureaucracy but I DIDN’T EXPECT TO LOVE CANON S2 MORE????? I love them sweet and schmoop and silly and so helplessly, hopelessly, and desperately in love to each other??? I still personally love them kinda leaning to the demi/grey territory BUT ALL OF THAT OUT OF LOVE???? JUST PURE ROMANCE???? HOLY MACARON— I CAN JUST DRAW THEM STICKING CLOSE TO EACH OTHER HIGH ON LOVE I—

I feel like I always see Neo and Trinity rather differently than other people. A lot of people seem to really inclined to the cyberpunk aesthetic to them, the dark, green and muted and this industrial sound, this creeping beat but very steady, that becomes a burst that is so powerful that no other force can match it. Something that makes sense in a complex gear works. That beautiful, harmonious thing amidst hard concrete, steel, and chaos. While to me they were always in sunrise and sunset colours, the amber and pink. Amber mostly. The golden light Neo sees in M3. The M4 lighting. They’ve always been warm, gentle, glistening, glimmering light, that warm hug of home you so dearly long and this sappy embodiment of pure, true love that mouse company always sells us but can never be. But I think that’s what I love from the NeoTrin and Matrix community that they always appear different but their essence is the same and the amount of love we feel for them is just as intense. It’s beautiful.
