Hey y’all! I was tagged a little while ago by @loopyhoopywrites to this tag game, thanks for the tag!!!!!! Below is the last bit I’ve written for MIU, so I’ll also be adding my taglist below the cut~
“Good of you to join us,” he says with a wave of his hand, probably doing away with the enchantment. I squirm in my seat, refusing to meet his eyes. I remember my outburst, my anger at being interrupted. Sure, I shouldn’t have yelled because he’s the headmaster, but… I could feel the spell working. And he completely trashed it. He ruined my last option at finding Dalia, and for that I can’t be sorry for what I had said.

“N-No, I mean…” I stammer out, fiddling with the ends of my sleeves a bit faster now. Her bugging me about it later will just be her tickling me, poking me, pestering me and tormenting me, and I don’t think I can handle that much physical proximity to her… So, it all just sort of spills out at once. “It’s just the usual stuff! I’m just not looking forward to classes again. You know I’m going to fall behind in divination, and I’m barely hanging on by a thread in our other classes as is!” Dalia chuckles warmly then, slipping her left arm around my right, pulling me against her side.
“You know you don’t need to worry about that,” she says, her tone oddly sweet for how much it makes my heart race. “I’m helping you after classes today, remember? By the time I’m done, you’ll be an expert! You’ll even be better than me!” I gulp hard and loud around the ball of nerves around my throat, and Dalia only giggles as she pulls away. I don’t know if I want to clamp her arm back around mine or keep it away from me, but I don’t think it matters much. The grand dining hall doors tower over us from just up ahead, and we’re about to be in the throng of it.
Chapter One is officially done!

I’ve reached 5263 in MIU!!! I’m almost 2/3 of the way done with chapter two, so hopefully I can finish that before the weekend is out? But anyways, progress is progress!!

Got to 7836 words today!! Not exactly as far as I’d like to be, but! Once I get some time this weekend I’m sure I’ll catch up... hopefully... lol. Tagging my MIU taggers under the cut since MIU is my NaNo project!!
Excerpt:
I fall asleep that night, foggy images clouding my mind of train tracks, falling ash, chains, and Dalia’s beautiful smile being surrounded by her tears. She reaches out to me, her hands shaking and caked with dirt and blood, but I don’t quite manage to reach her. I awake the next morning with Rally curled up on my chest, sleeping away peacefully. I sigh and shut my eyes against the early morning light, scratching along his spine and ignoring the chilling loneliness in the dorm. It won’t last long… No matter what, I will bring Dalia back.
ok, I’m calling it a night. For the night: I added 979 words, for a total of 1277 words into chapter two (meaning I’m about a third of the way through this chapter!!)!!!
This was on MIU, so I’m adding my lovely taggers under the cut since this is a status update, technically. Fingers crossed I can finish up this chapter by the end of this or next week!!
