i have a vision rn of making a couple different dunmeshi fanmixes w different covers of everybody wants to rule the world depending on who it is. i think its cool that you can maneuver how calls like that are interpreted in a playlist by using covers or remixes that evoke different feelings.. it does mean that i need to find a bunch of covers tho lol

lrb the tags on that thing are like opening a portal into a world full of people who dont give a shit about art having like, distinct communicative ideas involved in it, and it is so scary to witness

oh the tags on there are dire. why are we forcing a dichotomy between 'songs they would listen to' vs 'songs that describe them'

you need the songs to be both!!!! i dont care if the lyrics hit if the sound is off!!! that just means u find a different version or a cover or u say Thats A Shame and move on. maybe sort it to place for a different project (this is why i have too many wips lol)

its like. its so important that it Sounds like them, yknow? and thats part of why i keep pushing myself to experience different genres than im used to, leaving my comfort zone is necessary if i dont want all my character mixes to be folk/indie sadgirl compilations 🙏🙏
