QUESTION: how many times have you had to talk yourself out of cutting, coloring, relaxing, or even shaving your curls because you were just over it?

Currently struggling with a length I’m not happy with and struggling with healthy styling that I enjoy. I’m constantly finding myself throwing a wig on because I’m just so sick of my hair. Opinions?

It’s been a year since I have been single. It may not seem like a long time to some people...but this is the longest I’ve been single in my adult life. A lot of last year was extremely hard. I would be so quick in the past to give my all to people and I couldn’t give my all to myself. I know many of us have done/ or are doing that currently. I want you to know that it is okay to put your needs first... Actually it’s healthy to put yourself first. If you are operating from a depleted state of being... Can you really do and give your best? Do you give so much that you have nothing left for you? If you haven’t got a grip on how to have a healthy relationship with yourself...I don’t think having a partner will fill the void. It’s taken me one year to understand what this healthy relationship with myself looks and feels like. I’m finally to the point of enjoying doing my own thing most of the time. This week I did the paper work to move me forward to finding a therapist. I’ve been wanting to find a therapist for while and have put it off for over a year. I’m excited to see some of my blinds spots. I’m excited to break some unhealthy patterns.
