I think there’s a beauty in being ambiguous to some extent. You can cross over into different spaces and maybe that allows you to bring a new perspective into the world and identify with others that don’t fit into a space. If I can connect with someone who’s othered in terms of ableism, their sexuality or whatever, because of my heritage, that’s useful. QUESTION: how many times have you had to talk yourself out of cutting, coloring, relaxing, or even shaving your curls because you were just over it?
