“of course you love it right off the bat,” she says with a teasing grin. “it involves me, of course!” she giggles, standing up on the tips of her toes so she can press a quick kiss to seulgi’s lips. “you, me, a few nights away out of seoul, camping — what’s not to love?” honestly, hyoyeon has never gone camping in her life. but the thought of just the two of them in the quiet of nature, away from the sighs of traffic and the blast of guns, out of the smog and with fresh air and the stars? it sounds like a dream. maybe she does have a romantic side after all. besides, she thinks between the two of them they’ll be able to manage a tent for two nights. “we should go before the weather gets too cold.”

"you're definitely not wrong." a quiet smile forms on her lips, one arm curling around hyoyeon's waist to pull her in closer as seulgi returns the quick kiss, her smile growing a little more. "being able to be mostly off the radar and just enjoying some quality time in itself sounds absolutely lovely." seulgi has always lived within the boundaries of a city; within street lights and neon signs, within the squealing of tire against pavement and the occasional rings of gun fire—it was the location sense of what she had called home, but she'd gladly move from all of that for at least a little bit to enjoy a the wonders of being out under the stars with purpose, with someone that gave home a much better meaning. "certainly, that way we don't risk freezing ourselves for fun." she chuckles softly, bumping the tip of her nose gently against hyoyeon's. "why don't we start planning now? of course we can wait a little bit longer on the when, but we can always start figuring other things out, such as where we want to go, and what we'll need to bring."

had it been anyone outside of her makeshift family or hyoyeon, seulgi would be expecting an answer immediately as to what was so urgent that she be drawn from slumber at such an hour. but for hyoyeon? she didn’t need a reason, she would never need a reason to show up at seulgi’s doorstep.

there’s a tired smile that melts the grumpy, icy expression over her features with ease, arms coiling around hyoyeon’s waist and pulling her in without a word herself, completely comfortable with the silent greeting. “you don’t have to apologize, love.” seulgi hums softly, one hand moving to gently rub hyoyeon’s back before she continues. “honestly, you saved me from a horribly stiff neck since i dozed off on the couch.” she adds in lightly, the small smile evident in her voice as she turned her head a bit to place a kiss to the top of the other’s head. “are you doing alright, though?”

Location: (Somewhere in) Gangnam-gu, Time: Past noon

   “Such a lovely day for such a damned place, isn’t it?” there’s a hint of bitterness in her otherwise indifferent tone, and even despite her seemingly calm nature she’s particularly weary and on very high alert—it sadly reminded her of the days she had spent in her father’s domain. always on guard, always ready to show a potential fight to anything unwanted that tried to take a wrong step in her direction. but she could only hope that there wasn’t any trouble to run into, though with a weakened defense, how likely would that be? her inner thoughts alone were already coming close to running her thin , a quiet sigh leaving her before she moved her scanning gaze to rest upon the woman at her side for a moment, the hint of a half-smile at the corner of her lips. the relief was small, but it was still there with having someone she trusted well at her side and could be comfortable with. “Did you see anything out of sorts these past couple days? Aside from, ya know...the news. Or have you heard anything from anyone else?”

“Would it be weird if I kissed you right now?”

@mixhyoyeon (this was from a very past sentence starter but I couldn’t resist an excuse for the cute girls, plus I missed them)

“If you’re okay with kissing my bare, sweaty face, then I’m okay with it.” there’s a small chuckle that escapes her lips, the hint of a smile curling up at the corner of her lips as her hands fidget with the towel draped around her neck and over her shoulders for a moment, before she moves to rest her hands on Hyoyeon’s waist, pulling her in just a little closer. A past Seulgi would have been likely to try and slide herself out of the situation, embarrassed or uncomfortable with the sweat stained tank top she wore and the mess of her appearance in general — but this was Hyoyeon, after all, one person who had seen her in so many different conditions; injured, sick, sore and aching with a shorter temper than usual, the list went on — and she had still accepted her all the same. Seulgi would give her all the kisses she wanted, no matter how worn out and worked out — no matter what.

“How do I know you won’t use this against me?”

“You don’t. You expect my word as a police officer to be that one thing that keeps me from using this against you.” he said. Myungsoo was a good person but sometimes there was just certain things that annoyed him. Hyoyeon was nice and he found her a delight to talk with but when he had a job to do, he didn’t care for plasantries. “Look Hyo, I have a job I have to finish. A case to close. This information that you gave me, may lead to the capture of a dangerous criminal, and if it doesn’t, I promise it gets wiped from the files.” he said. 

“I’m a good person. The fact that you doubt me makes me feel really sad, because I really thought that we were friends. Well, not friends persay, but I didn’t think that you hated me so much.” he said. It was easier to hate, he supposed than to adore. Easier to lie than to trust. It made sense. He didn’t blame her for being protective. Any information in the hands of the police could hurt people. 

He blamed himself for being so naive. He knew that even without his knowledge, he may hurt someone. He had higher ups who would deem gangs a horrible mess and use any method to get rid of them. The most that he could say was his promise to keep it off files, but then things get dug up anyway.
