The mission that Cheolyong just finished had taken him all the was across Seoul, much farther from where he lived. However, this time he had no one to rely on to drive him back to his home. So he was forced to resort to talking public transit. He hated taking the bus and being surrounded by people he didn’t know. The thing he hated most is that there was always that one person who was overly friendly and chatty. Karma was against him and that talkative person would always sit beside him and it bothered him.
He shoved his hands in his pockets and sighed as he was walking down the sidewalk. The next thing he knew it decided to rain. “...rain... of course...” he mumbled. With a groan he decided to pick up his pace and headed towards the bus stop. Ducking under a canopy he looked around, luckily he was he only one. Or so he thought.
The moment the girl ran under the canopy as well, Cheolyong moved as far away as he could. Knowing his luck, this girl was the “overly-chatty” type. So he leaned against the side of the canopy and ran his hand through his wet hair. He didn’t find the silence awkward but he was silently praying to himself that the girl would leave him alone.
But there was something about the girl that just seemed familiar. He didn’t know why but his eyes kept flickering towards her. The girl wasn’t facing him so he couldn’t make out her features. But everything down to what he could see and her mannerisms it all seemed familiar. It reminded him of his best friend back in his high school days. It felt nostalgic but it made him miss her. He went through so much in high school and he owed so much to her. If it wasn’t for his friend he probably never would have survived “normal” schooling. She was his only friend back then and she helped him so much. But why was this random girl at the bus stop reminding him of his friend?
There was a voice in his head telling him to speak up or make his presence known. But, Cheolyong was too focused on trying to figure out where this feeling came from that he didn’t realize he was full-on staring at the girl. It wasn’t even the subtle-type of staring; he was flat out looking at her. Maybe it was from the presence staring at her, or maybe it was just fate but the girl finally turned so Cheolyong could get a better look at her. Now that he could properly see her everything made sense. It was her.
“....Hyuna?”
