"GLaDOS," The Spartan said with a nod as he approached with a gift in hand. "I'm not much for all of the festivities like others, but... I've picked this up over a local pet store because I heard you were needing test subjects."

The towering hunk of metal addressed her in a way very unorthodox for most humans. A cynic breathed beneath those layers of military gear? How nice to know some humans have some sense about them. Not that it was surprising; Military life was hardly the pleasurable sort of systematic.

However the little offering was...unexpected. No wait, it was completely expected. "It's nice to know despite your trespassing habits that you have some humility." This was obviously something akin to an apology. But--

"...pet store?" The gift was cautiously taken in hand, visibly thrown off by the implication. "...So...then are you volunteering with an accessory, or--"
