Making a home look like it just happened on it’s own takes a lot thought and planning, simple nuances between shape, texture and colour. Matching without being matchy, contrast without clashing. Good tension. While I’m only working on a couple areas of this home at the moment we have to think about the direction we are taking the whole house in. Is it sustainable, is it friendly will it gently guide the direction or is it bossy? Pictured is just the beginning but that’s when you’ve got to get it right, then come the layers, the added colours and patterns that don’t necessarily match the “theme” but work and make things look natural.
