it was bittersweet. he wanted to get out there and fight for his country but after meeting her it felt a lot harder to leave home. since they met they had been seeing each other often and growing fond of each others company. but now it was finally time. him and his troop were being shipped out in the middle of it all. “i’ll do my best.” bucky had a genuine smile on his face. he knew how lucky he was to have met her before it would be too late. because no one knew what it would be like when he got overseas. “take care of yourself. if i don’t get letters i will be disappointed so make sure you put your pen to use.” with his arms around her he wanted to take in the moment because soon he would be far away. only being able to think of this moment as a memory.
Grand Opening
Wary sea travelers, come hang up your coats and take a break from the world outside.
Amhrán Selkie is a small little cafe, tucked out of the way. The outside is unassuming, brick with a sign hanging above the door with the name painted on. The windows show the dim light from withing behind the painted words of greeting.
Inside, warmth greets guests combined with the soft sounds of Irish songs alternating with popular radio. The scent of fresh coffee fills the air, mixing with fresh baked goods on display. A bar counter wraps around, the front side holding the coffee machine as the side holds an array of alcohol reserved for the night time.

✦✧ “Terry! Terry Terry Terry Terry!” Lucy was speaking quickly as she nearly tackled her sister as soon as she entered their home. The elder sister had been out shopping, groceries in arm and a piece of paper in her hand. It seemed she was very excited about something, which could either be a good sign...or troubling...
“You’ll never believe what I found while I was out! Remember that cute little shop building we always pass on the way to the market? The one we always talk about wanting? It’s for sale! And it’s super cheap!” The piece of paper was thrust into Terry’s hands while Lucy went to put the groceries away.
The paper detailed that the building was for sale, the price was fairly low, and the building had already been inspected. The details of the inspection were listed, there were no problems with it. It was just old and no one had shown any interest in it. “We can afford that! We could finally open that shop we’ve been talking about! I can keep the freelance going to ensure we have a stable income and savings. We gotta buy it before someone else does!” ✧✦
