I’m happy to announce a group exhibit with Nancy Toomey. Nancy has been a friend and dealer of mine for too many years to say, lest I get myself into trouble. I admire her and her love of art. Proud to be part of, “Some Really Great Things” group show at Nancy Toomey Fine Art thru Aug 27, 2022. Works by Miya Ando, Jud Bergeron, Casper Brindle, Claire Burbridge, Brian Dettmer, Chris Natrop, Matthew Picton, Gregg Renfrow, Carole Silverstein, Ray Turner. https://. #nancytoomeyfineart #groupexhibition #groupshow #claireburbridge #miyaando #carolesilverstein #judbergeron #briandettmer #matthewpicton #rayturner #chrisnatrop #casperbrindle #greggrenfrow #unitedstates #sanfrancisco #minnesotastreetproject #fineart #contemporaryart https://www.instagram.com/p/ChFQXqor8FY/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Sam’s Dad, oil on glass, 2008. Part of the original Population exhibit at PMCA, Sam’s dad was an amazing man. He was an engineer. He designed an underwater habitat for the Navy and was also dear friends with Jacques Cousteau who shared many an adventure on land and sea. They are both sorely missed good men. This is one of my favorites. When I get to one hundred I may stop… Nancy Toomey Fine Art is pleased to announce a group exhibition titled "Some Really Great Things," on view through August 27, 2022, with works by Miya Ando, Jud Bergeron, Casper Brindle, Claire Burbridge, Brian Dettmer, Chris Natrop, Matthew Picton, Gregg Renfrow, Carole Silverstein, and Ray Turner. The gallery is located inside San Francisco’s Minnesota Street Project, 1275 Minnesota Street. Gallery hours are Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, 12pm to 4pm, and by appointment–please contact [email protected] or 415-307-9038. Traditionally, the season of summer suggests a relaxed and joyful response to long slow days that serve as templates of calm. As global events and at-home shenanigans unfold, that quiet tranquility has been upended. This exhibition allows our gallery artists to demonstrate and translate the enormity of our world to a scale that is more relatable, exploring the role of perception and innovative use of material to create its own meaningful experience...
