eirika and lyon for the meme, if you haven't gotten an ask for them already? :o yr portrayals of both of them have really influenced how i see each char, and yr magvel thoughts in general immensely deepened my appreciation for the times when the game's writing is really on point.

Pick a character I’ve written and I will explain the top ~three to five ideas/concepts/etc I keep in mind while writing that character that I believe are essential to accurately depicting them.

Aaaaaaa you are always so sweet to me (/o\). I’ve done Eirika so here’s Lyon.

Tbh there’s only one rule for me with Lyon: He’s Gotta Be Fucked Up. That usually degenerates into several parts:

He’s into both twins. How into and in which way/s is something I fluctuate on a lot, but the bottom line is if he could have them both, even knowing it’d make them uncomfortable, even if it had to be as zombies, he totally would.

Massive insecurity. Toxic barrages of “I’m such trash why are you even friends with me.” A constant need for reassurance, even at the expense of putting someone else down for it. Masculinity and social class issues. Uncontrollable jealousy. Etc.

Manipulative. As manipulative as possible. It’s the only power he has to get what he wants. He can’t just take it like Eirika and Ephraim can. 

He doesn’t get that he’s the bad guy. He hates himself horrifically, but always finds a way to spin or justify his actual actions. He doesn’t realize that his idolized love of the twins isn’t “higher” or “purer” or “more” but rather is unhealthy. Despite being their ~best friend who knows them ~so well, he will always simplify Eirika to an object and Ephraim to a threat. 

Ahhh I guess I also like anything from Lyon’s PoV to take on a cerebral, poetic tone if I can make it so. Get that sort of detached, bookish, dreamer quality of his across.

i started rewriting soleil's p/c supports a while back because i was also disgusted w/how lesbophobic and generally nasty they are. i have mu, azura, and peri versions complete, and the general script can be pretty easily adapted to a parent of any gender. if you're looking for soleil parent support rewrites, i'd be happy to submit them for your consideration!
