anon request: could I request a miyeon fluff/angst where she comes home to you crying because of something bad that happened to you? love your blog🤩
Miyeon had tried to call you four times on her way out from the company, and you hadn’t responded. You also hadn’t read or answered her texts, about ten she sent you throughout the day. She was starting to get a little worried, but also didn’t want to overreact and come off as clingy. You two had only been dating about two months - but she really wanted to know you were okay.
Instead of heading to the dorms straight after practice, she takes the subway to your side of the city, in hopes that you’ll be home. She can stop by, right? It’s not weird for your girlfriend to stop by to hang out? No, no it’s not, she tells herself as she walks into your lobby and presses your floor number. As she waits in the elevator, she checks her phone again, but still no reply. Maybe you were sick?
She knocks on your door, and waits patiently for you to answer. “Y/N..? Are you there?” She knocks again, this time leaning in to try and hear if you’re home. After a moment, she hears a shuffle and the door shutter a little.
“...Miyeon?” Your voice is so soft, she can barely hear it.
“Yeah, um, hi baby. I just wanted to come to check on you - oh, urm... not check on you necessarily, but like, I don’t know - you, um, didn’t answer my texts - and...” She stutters through her sentence before the door opens and she’s face to face with you. Your eyes were red and your face was puffy, but you had a small smile on your lips. She wanted to kiss you then, but seeing you upset was more important. “You’re crying?”
“Oh, um... I-... yeah, um I was.” You smile sheepishly. “Come in!”
Miyeon steps in and you take her purse and coat, and motion for her to sit on your couch with you. You try to hide a sniffle, but Miyeon reaches over to grab your hands.
“I’m sorry, I know I haven’t answered you today. I’ve just had a shitty day, and got a little sidetracked.” You meet her eyes, and she frowns.
“You did?” You nod. “Do you want to talk about it?”
You hang your head low for a bit, and a heavy sigh leaves your lips. “I got... fired from work today. I just didn’t want to tell you because I was embarrassed. I thought maybe if I didn’t tell anyone it didn’t have to be real yet, you know?”
Miyeon’s heart sank in her chest - she knew how much this job meant to you. She pulls you into a tight hug, and she feels you sink into her body. Silent sobs come from you, and she lets you cry in her arms until you pull away.
“Please look at me,” she smiles softly, “I’m so sorry you had a bad day. I know this job was your dream job, but they’ll be others. I’ll take care of you. But, I want you to know that you can talk to me about anything, and everything.” She holds your hands to her chest. “Nothing you do could ever make me ashamed of you.”
Sitting together in your apartment, you feel Miyeon’s love, and you know she means it.
