traditions with @typicaljisung miyeon and jisung are back home for the summer holiday
miyeon wasn't always about traditions, but she was quick to adapt. her mother was always busy growing up and it wasn't really until she met jisung's father that things slowed down and began to change. for the better really, despite any ups and downs they have had, she can't ever say she regrets anything. including this little tradition jisung's dad- their dad, brought in when they became family.
its been around ten years now that they have a chunk of their summer break fixing the house. some painting here, a new cupboard there, bulbs, cleaning, you name it, miyeon and jisung have done almost everything possible to give their living space a bit of a new life. this year was no different. if anything, she was just as excited as always when the time was nearing for them to head back home a while and help their dad round the place. she gets a bit annoying about it probably, talks more about going home, eating home cooked food and spending time with their parents watching movies at the end of their days spent working.
today would be no different as they were tasked to pain the kitchen walls and swap a few handles. nothing they haven't done before, but it still feels nice, miyeon loves it "can you pass me the bucket?" she asks, pointing to the sage green bucket near jisung's feet. her tray was running empty really. they had decided that it would be best for jisung to get the top edges of the walls, as he was taller and only needed the chair while miyeon would have needed a decent ladder to step on, and she took the bottom edges. keeping things nice and tidy. it was soft, and very heartwarming that they have been doing his for so long, she doesn't ever want it to end "thanks-" she starts, turning around to face jisung and a wide grin pulls on her lips "you have sage green on your cheek you know? how did you do that-" she asks, can't help but laugh, waves him over, down to her level on the floor.
