Works been busy and I’ll be helping to host 400+ people in the next 8 days, BUT I intentionally put some time aside to try and work on Annie’s character sheet. Ahh... it’s been SO long since I’ve worked on one of these. 

Over the next couple of days, I’ll get down to the writing portion. Won’t be posting that here though because I’ll also be busy relearning how DeviantArt works.

Since I’m on the move a lot, I don’t get to often play games on an XBOX or PS3/4. Thankfully, I’ve been able to find all sorts of games to play on my phone during down time! One of the ones I found out about over my vacation was The Arcana Game and I AM HOOKED. 

Right now, I’m playing my fan apprentice as Darya, a character that I haven’t done much with in the past. It’s fun to think about the decisions that they’d make.

Huevember Day 1:

Yellow always reminds me of Anastasia and Aileen (Aileen is Day 3). I like how her hair came out. I couldn't figure out if I liked just the simple flats or the additional shading version.

Also...

So I thought that I would be able to do Huevember this year, but lol this is my busiest time at work and other than a vacation in the middle of this month, I’ll be pretty much busy until December 15th.

Nonetheles, I have finished Huevember 1-5 drawings and will try to finish some days because this has been a lot of fun!

I’ve been wanting to draw more lately and my main source of inspiration is looking through old sketches and trying to recreate them and make them a little more dynamic... even if it may mean wonky anatomy as I try to depict someone about to collapse from grief. 

I’ve also been trying to relearn stories and character backgrounds (life has been busy and I’ve forgotten some) because I really want to get back to storytelling whether it be my own original stuff or through OCs inspired by universes that I’m a fan of. 

In this case, this is Milagros Zapata (daughter of Morpheus) and Isseti Moreau (daughter of Hades) who are demigods inspired by the Percy Jackson universe. The image was inspired by a little sketch I have here.  Isseti, as she gets older and her power grows, is able to sort of see/ keep track of people’s life forces/ souls. I’m not sure how she does it yet. In this case, their friend Rogelio de la Cruz (only OK image I have of him is here), went on a mission and was dealt a possibly deadly hit in the fight with... some sort of creature. Isseti lets out a sob and Milagros isn’t sure what has happened (girl probably woke up from a nap) but tries to be of support. 

Happy days! 

Also this is the first time I colored in a while! I did everything on one layer (which I never typically do), but it was fun. I might go back and color the other sketches i’ve posted this month.

Another doodle - although I am hoping to work on this a little further and have lineart and color. Here it is for now since I have to get ready for work tomorrow 8′D;

I pair Diego and Lorelei together. I just like them a lot and they’re both OCs that I haven’t used too often. 

I think I might do more redraws of images I created for last year’s Inktober.

*Dusts this place off*

I can’t promise that I’m back to submitting my doodles, but this is something that I’m happy with and it’s been a LONG time since I’ve been happy enough with something to post it here. 

I’ve been kinda lacking inspiration to draw lately so I looked at the sketches that i did from last year’s inktober and found this one of my Legend of Korra OCs Shizue and Fifty Fist Zheng (http://mizzmizzysart.tumblr.com/post/152019667069/inktober-days-17-and-18-reposted-one-of-my)

Shizue joins the Equalists as one of the less extreme members. The Equalist message makes her feel hopeful about ending triad violence in her neighborhood as she has little faith in the actual law enforcement. Zheng, as a member of a fire bender-exclusive triad, collects a “protection” tax from Shizue’s firebending, restaurant owning father. One day, her father (unnamed for now) is alarmed at receiving another visit from Zheng after he had given the triad member the weekly tax only a couple days prior. Fed up with the demand for a second, tax collection for the week, Shizue’s father attempts to attack Zheng and scare him off.  Zheng, being a rather talented hand-to-hand fighter ends up putting him down quickly; however, as he's distracted, he doesn’t notice Shizue moving in for a sneak attack - and that’s where you get this image.

I ended up spending some time today laying down some flats and other details. I think i may redraw the shell design on the bathing suit top, but I’m really happy with how this is coming out. 8D even if it may be late for Witchsona week. 

Ocean/ water witch who would really want to just hang out by the beach or on a boat. However, the bleeding heart takes it upon herself to travel the world helping to depollute water systems - because clean water is a right of all living things, ya’ll.  Also is able to craft protective charms in the form of jewelry. Almost always wearing rain boots because she enjoys the rainy weather.

Pardon all the WIPs. Posting things helps keep me motivated to finish them. <3

I may have missed witchsona week... but meh ... I think I’m going to try and throw some colors on this when I wake up tomorrow (lol later today... it’s 2am). My excuse for not finishing? I’ve been sick and working full-time and attending rallies.
