Mj Mike who starts noticing Will being more avoidant, skipping class which is unusual for him, how he barely has time to hang out anymore, constantly tired, increasingly looking more injured, until one day he comes with a limp in his left leg. Mike immediately starts questioning about him what happened, feeling so anxious for him and worried, but Will just gives him a bad excuse and leaves so fast Mike can’t keep up.

Later that day, when Mike is on his way home, he suddenly gets pulled into a dark alley with a knife pointed at his throat, the voice of the man wielding it demanding he’ll give him all the money he has on him. A terrified Mike can’t see another way to get out of this situation safely, so he starts reaching for his wallet. All of a sudden, THE spiderman somehow manages to disarm the mugger and tie him up with his webs. All of this happens so fast, and in the next second Mike has spiderman all over him, checking to see if he’s hurt. After he’s sure Mike is unharmed, he walks with him a little and offers him a “lift” home. That’s when Mike notices it. He’s limping on his left leg.

Spidey!Will and Mj Wheeler, but before the spell was cast, Will and Mike weren't together yet. Will doesn't know if Mike ever had feelings for him.

So when Will says "Because I love you," after Mike finds the letter and demands answers and Mike responds with. "I don't love you." Will doesn't even falter, just says. "That's okay, I don't think you ever did."

There is something about this that feels so wrong to Mike. Because he can totally see himself loving Will if he knew him. But he doesn't, so he can't really question it.
