Mirror Jax Briggs/TR Jax Briggs Bio
Jackson Briggs, a man many would admire. All that most people who know him can see is a strong, loyal and kind person… although you can be sure most of them are unaware of the little detail that he is secretly an international terrorist.
Jax had been quite idealistic in his youth. He had wanted to join the US army in order to serve his country and people, which led to his enlistment. While his exceptional physical abilities as well as his strong mind quickly earned him a position as an excellent soldier of the US Special Forces, he turned out to be much more displeased with their actions than he expected.
He hadn’t expected them to be perfect, but what he found left him with no words, especially every shady actions they secretly performed in other countries in favor of the US government. He constantly protested to his superiors, with no success since all he received were menaces of losing his position. He was making little friends there, with only the communication experts Gemini being someone he could honestly call one. He was actually making enemies, dangerous ones, who would eventually grow tired of him.
During a particularly dangerous mission, Jax was betrayed by the members of his squad, and left to die by orders of some of his superiors. It really seemed like it was his end, and it would have been if his friend Gemini hadn’t turned out to be more than he seemed, and, having suspected that something like this could happen, had asked some of her actual allies to look after him.
Jax awakened in a medical room, and, before he could even guess how he had survived, he was received by two of his saviors: Vera, one of the most skilled medical experts of the Golden Dragon clan, and Lord Taven himself, who trusted Gemini enough to believe her words that Jax was a good man and would understand their cause.
Despite being somewhat untrustful, Jax was still grateful enough for the rescue to listen to what Taven had to offer him. To his surprise, Taven spoke quite honestly and opened himself to him despite barely knowing him. He said he could relate to Jax’s recent tragedy, since his own brother had betrayed him and shattered his family years ago. He had built the Golden Dragon with the objective of being around people he could trust, people who fought with all their soul for the objective of bringing perfect ‘order and peace’ to their world. People who he considered new members of his family. He offered Jax a chance to join said new family, promising him that he could trust him and that they would fight to improve his world rather than wronging it. Jax’s curiosity and gratefulness led to him giving it a chance.
Jax went through the same process his fellow Golden Dragon members went through. First, for much time, he was just presented with what the clan did to ‘eliminate evil and corruption’. This included using the clan’s resources to make sure everyone involved in his attempted death received the fate they undoubtedly deserved, as well as making every necessary for Jax to rejoin the SF (one of the greatest threats for the clan), this time as another mole alongside Gemini. He was also allowed to familiarize himself with the clan, actually managing to make dear friends among their members, and even became more than just friends with Vera in particular. It was only then, when his commitment to the clan seemed unbreakable, that he was presented with their worst, more shady actions.
The Jax from the past would have called out Taven and the clan for being hypocrites, especially for performing activities that weren’t much different from the ones which made him dislike the SF. But now that he had seen how the clan apparently had the resources to change his world for the better? Now that he considered it his own family? The Golden Dragon had made another loyal officer, one that would prove quite useful by bringing in people who were in similar situations to him, including his dear friend Sonya Blade.
While not particularly eager to perform ‘necessary sacrifices’ to fulfill his objectives, Jax is still a member of the Golden Dragon, who will do what’s necessary for ‘his world and family’, at least from his point of view…
