shitty liu kang headcannons!!

- within the shaolin monk’s community, there was a female fighter slightly older than him that he saw as a sister figure

- compares height with sonya knowing hes shorter (blames it on her boots and makes her take them off)

- him sonya and johnny did the blind (liu), deaf (johnny) and mute (sonya) baking challenge. funniest thing ever.

Need more artists to portray Sonya as the blazing dumpster fire of a woman that she is- let her get annoyed, be an asshole, be sassy, be muscular, dress comfortably yet practically, get frustrated, and by the elder gods let her be a damn usa army soldier

All interpretations are valid, I'm just shocked I haven't seen more like this because is this not exactly how she is in canon?

'I Feel Like There Are Other Stories I Want to Tell' — Director Simon McQuoid 'Not Sure' About Return for Mortal Kombat 3 as Third Film Rema

Mortal Kombat movie director Simon McQuoid has cast doubt on his return to the franchise as work on a third movie remains in limbo.

I won't be surprised if MK3 doesn't happen.

Then again, that's what happens when you push the release date back to a crowded Mother's Day season, and when you decide to make the movie about the wrong characters (Kitana and a 50 year old Johnny "Overrated" Cage) instead of giving the fans what they actually wanted to see.

Plus, the fact that this movie had the nerve to "kill" the actual hero of the franchise (Liu Kang), especially this soon into the film's universe.
