Odisha : Students Ruckus at MKCG Medical College

Berhampur: Virtually a week after taking to streets opposing the re-allotment of Sardar Rajas medical college students in their institutions, the students of Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati (MKCG) Medical College and Health center here and VSS Medical College in Sambalpur today heightened their protest.

The students of MKCG college who had staged a sit-in in front of their organization yesterday, today secured its primary gate showing placards against the State federal government.

The angry students also burnt the effigy of State Health and Household Welfare minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and demanded to look into the matter afresh.

The medicos of VSS Medical college, who are on strike over the issue given that November 23, boycotted their classes today and took out a rally in the city requiring a fair decision by the State federal government. They sent a memorandum to the RDC, northern variety regarding the concern. If their demands were not satisfied, the students also threatened to shut down the organization.
