Chaton Noir AU: Chat Blanc

Chaton looked around the mess of a kitchen in worry.
But now Mama was staring down at him with a strange look in her eyes.
He didn’t like that look.
He didn’t like that look at all.
He flinched with each word.
“It looks like you were playing with something you shouldn’t have been.”
He shook his head desperately. He hadn’t! He had just been trying to help when the bag fell over! And now flour was everywhere. And on him...
“We’ll need to get this cleaned up.”
He’s sorry. He’s sorry really, just please—
“And you, little man, are getting a bath.”
The flour-covered Chaton gaped up at her in horror. He shook his head insistently, sending little mites of flour floating from his hair to the floor.
“Yes, you are. And there is no talking your way out of it.”
There was still one method that could save him...
Chaton looked up at her, eyes growing large and dewy in that way that always tugged at her heartstrings.
“Sorry, little guy. But kitty eyes aren’t as effective when you’re covered in flour.”
“Come on!” She said, reaching out for him. “Bath time!”
He took off like a shot and out the open door like a little white blur.
